Jan Griffiths here. I splurged. I got a pair of Anthony Wang hidden platform sneakers and a pair of his hidden platform sandals. Both are so comfortable, and are in crazy colorblock design. They are for going out only, and I get so many compliments on them. The only other designer pair I have is a pair of black Calvin Klein platform sandals. I don't go in for flats at all, but do have a couple pairs of boots---one pair ankle boots, and my (real) English riding boots. My flats of choice are high and low top Converse Chuck Taylor.

I have been wearing high heels for so many years, I can run down the stairs or walk on ice. But in flats I often land on my face. I lift my foot, scuff the bottom of my shoe and trip. I always hear "how do you walk in those things (heels)?", but just look straight ahead and keep good posture.

Loafers are a no-go for me, they look too manly, old-fashioned, and remind me of pioneer days. My go-to flats are black, pointed toe, and strappy. Also, please do not wear the same workout sneakers as every day shoes. Nasty! I'm in loooove with the strappy, nude, and PVC options. I have most of what you suggest tbh lol. My favorites are also brightly colored strappy heels that make simple outfits pop. I'm also a huge bootie fan.

I'm the last person out of them and the first one back into them even though I live in a hot country 😏 I love pointed shoes but I'm 176cm tall and have big feet EU 43 so pointed shoes and flat shoes make them look bigger, so I mostly wear heels which then make me super tall (which also makes you slimmer-bonus!) and if not boots then sandals. I own one pair of (hated) trainers for sports only, same reason; big feet 😕 and flip flops for the beach/pool. I'd just rather wear boots, always! Btw love your channel x

Some of my recommendations would be: Prada (flats, heels, boots...any shoe is well made, comfortable and stylish) Aquatalia for weatherproof boots/booties Van Eli for boots that are nice and mostly comfortable and aren’t cheap but they are very reasonable for stylish leather boots Bernardo for their classic Miami sandals And Bonus- UGG slippers

Great info. I'm so glad you added in your last tip about a luxury shoe. I am learning the value behind paying extra money for quality.
