8 Sikh: Battle for Tiger Hill

8 SIKH played a pivotal role in the Battle for Tiger Hill. Inducted into the sector, after having barely spent a week in the Kashmir Valley, 8 SIKH was launched into operations without acclimatization or extreme cold clothing. The battalion kept capturing the surrounding heights as it finally tied the noose around Tiger Hill. The battalion had been continuously in operations for two months by then.
