Every song was sounding heavenly and so beautifully played. Thank you dear Eddie for you contributing your spiritual effort with us. Very elating, as I just got an Aklot 16 string harp to play for my daily meditation session, and was looking for something lyrical a flow to play as just new to the instrument. Grace be on you son. Namaste🙏🍃

sound is a bit more sharp than i thought (twang, not music note sharp). does the vid distort it at all or is it accurate to how it sounds to your ear? thanks! nice to see more actual songs, and a diff lyre than i've come across (not seen the alkot one yet) what child is this sounds very well replicated. (aka... greensleeves? i forget, because usually heard the other name.)

Do you know of any apps for tuning a lyre? I'm trying to learn Seikilos, but that first chord isn't sounding right for me 😅
@EddiePrieto2 жыл бұрын
You can use any chromatic tuner app. I personally use "Tuner - Pitched!" on android. But for tuning I mostly use my Snark Super Tight clip on tuner instead of an app.

İs it posdible to play semitones?
@EddiePrieto3 жыл бұрын
While playing a song, you cannot change the pitches of the strings. You are limited to whatever you are currently tuned to; in this case I am restricted to the key of C. If you want specific half steps to be able to play certain songs, then you would need to retune your lyre.

Did you played civilisation ?
@connieLo873653 жыл бұрын
i notice that you play with the bass notes closest to you. If this a preference? I was wondering about this since I am left handed but it take a whole mental change since I learn't on harp first. Thank you for sharing your play very well.
@EddiePrieto3 жыл бұрын
I'm right handed and it's easier for to play it like in the video. But I imagine you can flip it horizontally and hold it with your right and play with your left so that it's like playing a harp with the higher strings closer to you. Kind of like a mirror image of how I'm playing it.

@EddiePrieto Жыл бұрын
Steel strings, it's the same strings that came with the lyre.

Honestly good songs but the pick feedback from the strings is quite annoying..
@Disteltje3 жыл бұрын
Why do you use a pick to play a lyre harp?? It looks strange and it sounds too sharp. Learn to play with your fingers (like a normal harp player) that give a much warmer sound.
@EddiePrieto3 жыл бұрын
I use a pick to play single note melodies because it sounds louder and clearer to me. If you watch my Final Fantasy video, you see that I do play with fingers for that one.
@EddiePrieto3 жыл бұрын
There is also historical evidence that ancient lyres were played with picks. You can find other historical lyre players on KZbin using picks.
@imrlaps7097 Жыл бұрын
Lyres were originally played with picks. Get your shit straight, fool.
