POV: You follow the stars (your dreams) like you've always did when you were a child, but then one day, you tried to reach for one of the stars (attempt to achieve one of your dreams), but a small miscalculation took place that caused the star to fall from the sky (a small mistake), and all the stars along the others and everything starts to fall crashing down on top of you one after another (a small mistake with an unexpectedly big consequence), crushing your dreams and destroying every little light of hope and joy you had in life creating a domino effect, leaving you with an dark empty voidal sky with the light of the shattered stars on the ground slowly fading away piece by piece as you struggle to gather as much as you can to make at least a small amount of light of hope and joy until they all fade out eventually, leaving you in pure darkness

First, those are pieces, it's not sung (although arguably the original piece IS a song in this case, but here we only have a piano version so calling it a song is quite improper). Second, I agree with you. Overall I find minor pieces much more beautiful than major pieces.

It's not that big of a deal either, and I won't criticize or blame someone for making the mistake, but just as much as it's not that big of a deal to use the wrong word, it's not that big of a deal to use the correct word too.

This is twinkle twinkle little star, so like the original commenter, I would still call this a song. I'd call day one from interstellar a music piece, but I wouldn't call twinkle twinkle a piece. I just don't think it's really worth correcting, since most, if not all non-music people just call everything a song.

In a book series I am writing, I have a character whose prophesied identity is known as Darkstar. Her arc uplifts her from a villain to a hero, only to fall back into her dark and desolate ways near the end of the fourth book. She loses herself and through losing herself she finds her final form so to speak. Her path is paved with betrayal and I could totally see her playing this song as she weaves her final devastating ploy. The entire book series is a wip Astral Origins will be the series Forgotten Legacy is book one of the series.

The child grasps your hand, startling you. You are an adventurer. You've been on the road for a long time. Children don't usually come up to you, intimidated by your large sword and jaded eyes. Let me tell you a tale. Not one of the evil i have committed but of the tragedy that drove me to my villainy. I was but a young lad, near my teenage years but not quite that old. It was a special day. A celebration of not just the kingdom that once stood upon these lands but also of the current rulerers. My parents. And of me. A celebration of their rule and my birth mixed into one grand party. It was just as the sun set, the amber beams of light barely streaking across the sky for the last time that day. They were in the main hall, the King and Queen in their thrones, the eldest child dutifully in her seat to the Queens side but the younger princes left empty for he was out celebrating his day in his own way. Unbeknownst to him, he would have a special visitor coming to see him. No one known to the family of course even if the visitor knew the bloodline well. A looming figure who resides in the shadows, watching them. I don't know what he wanted that day. Or what exactly he did. But i know what i came back and saw. Dead strewn amongst the streets leading to the castle. The only sound i could hear was my own anxious breathing and the gentle breeze that i found so soothing not but minutes ago. Shakily walking towards my home, tears welling in my eyes. Arriving just in time to see him drain the life from my beloved sister. She was staring at me... I can still see the life draining from her eyes after all this time... Hmm sorry, where was i? Right, he dropped her still warm corpse to the floor and slowly made his way to me. Floating over the now red stained floor and thw bodies that decorated the tiles like lumpy carpets. He told me he was here for me and... Apologized for having... A snack as he waited... A snack... The kingdom for a snack... Sorry, he lifted me up with a hand seemingly cloaked in shadows. Told me he had been watching my family for sometime and thought now was the best time to do this. I was scared and confused, barely hearing his words. Then he leaned forward and my memory fades here. Presumably cursing me with the form you see before you. I woke in as a corpse among the dead, so cold, so empty... So alone. I wailed for hours, holding the icy cold body's that used to my family. Blood all dried. I don't know how long it had been, maybe a few days at the longest? I couldn't tell. It was hours before I stood. I didn't know what to do. I fled the castle... The town... The kingdom. I tried and figure out what happened. I learned as much as i could, quickly discovering what i had been cursed with, not that i realized i even had it to start. I was lucky to have hidden away from the sun that night. Slept uncomfortably but as if i instinctively knew. Over time, as i mentioned, I learned as much as i could. I held out as long as possible... I still remember the first victim. Actually i remember each and every person I've drained of their life to sustain my own. Even your parents. I do apologize, it was never anything personal. I know my story doesn't excuse the actions I've taken. This isn't me begging you for forgiveness... I know I'm centuries past that. I just wanted someone to know my story before my death. I won't fight you. If you must slay me... Well I'll gladly welcome hell after this cursed life thrust upon me. Just... If you can... Bless the grounds of the castle. For me its just I miss how things were in my childhood. Mom dads love, roaming with them, laughing together, making memories and all. Now that lots of years have passed and I have grown up to be the person they dont like, want, I really miss that love i used to get when things were normal. This is what I imagine is playing during the flashback of a villain in the movie that’s just going through his memories during a fight he already knows he’ll loose. During this flashback I think they’d suddenly become hyper aware of the fact they’d become the very monster they swore to stop. At the end of the fight I believe they’d simply give up and let the hero win.
