@@ACommenterOnKZbin Dude, if you're on a plane, and you're smoking a cigarette, the smoke, more or less travels straight up, even though you're moving at a high speed, you and the smoke are moving at the same speed as the plane. We feel like we're stationary on a fast moving planet because we're moving at the same speed as the planet. I highly suggest you use your God given senses. It doesn't require any overly complicated explanation. If the world was flat, then there'd be an edge, and speaking as someone who's flown around the world, there isn't. It's a conspiracy, you might say? Then why is it I can converse with anyone I know at any time around the world, and it's a different time of day for them? This is a very cool animation! I'm wondering if you could make this work in real life with magnets running on the underside of the board. That would (1) keep the balls perpetually moving and (2) keep them on track when they cross the middle point, which would need to be smooth (and hence the balls could get off their path). Maybe the whole thing would need to be bigger - i.e., more space between the balls - to ensure that each magnet only affects its associated ball. So, there you go, engineers - you have your challenge! I'd pay good money for a real-life working version of this!
