You are so right when you connect the emotional attachment as the catalyst for losing value. We do tend to lose ourselves and start behaving lower value when we start to become more emotionally attached. I agree we need these reminders!

Honestly, where I'm from, we swear all the time. Not just in a negative way, but simply to put emphasis on something, or in the place of an adverb. For example, instead of saying "he's a really amazing person", we might say "he's a [F word] mad [C word]". I realised I had to break that habit when talking to my family and friends from the USA. It can be done. It just takes some self-awareness. But I agree, if the person is swearing at you and using it as a way to hurt or attack you, its a great big no-no. Hmmm. I dunno. The kinds of guys you’re talking about sound like worms to me. The kind a woman shouldn’t even date to begin with. Instead of telling women that they’re low value because of how rotten guys make them feel due to their crummy behavior, how about instead telling them how to vet losers so they avoid them completely. The guy I’ve been dating treats me like a total queen. Completely. I have dated jerks before and usually a jerk treats all women crummy. It’s not the woman’s fault. Obviously chasing a guy is a mistake. For sure. But sometimes a woman shouldn’t even be dating that one in the first place. Even if she did all the right things that guy would still be a jerk.
