Narcissists often make 'suicide attempts' (unsuccessful) when caught out, if they think it will deflect, garner them sympathy, or solidify their own view of themselves as 'a victim' in their own eyes. It is often in a 'look what you made me do' and 'this is all your fault' kind of way, trying to punish and blame those closest to them, or the woman who is trying to leave. An act of anger and retribution while making themselves feel like a victim and excusing themselves from accountability or responsibility. This man is not a narcissist he is a psychopath.

The estranged wife, soon to be ex-wife, is making a very loud and clear statement that she wants to separate herself and her children from this man as much as possible, and keep as much distance between her and him as possible I guarantee they had no idea whatsoever, but I also guarantee that now that they know who is it all makes sense to them now I feel so bad for this family. They didn’t deserve this. No it’s really not. Anyone who cares about data can easily accumulate many times that, especially if proper archives and backups are present. Many enthusiasts who run home servers can amass 20-50 TB plus easily. I easily manage more than 8TB of data, heck I have 5TB built into my primary PC with multiple other rigs around the house. Plus everything has at least 2 local backups.

It’s not honestly. 8tb is nothing in general. Judging the relative size of the seizure is difficult without knowing the data type(s) that constitute the haul. If only text/doc files? That’s absolutely massive. Videos? A little different. But if that 8tb is just “everything”, that’s nothing out of the ordinary. I would bet you and the average person have at least a TB of _photos alone_ spread amongst your phone, devices, cloud data, social media, etc. One bluray rip in highest quality can easily hit 75gb depending on encoding/format. So the question is, did they seize _everything digital_ to constitute that 8TB? OR is that only specifically what was considered _relevant_ evidence? I’d argue that 8TB haul is probably made up of everything(docs, photos, videos, etc) so that they can search it all… and it very likely came from an 8TB external hdd that anyone can buy off the shelf at any big box. Once again, 8TB is not that big.

I probably have 40 terabyte in my house. I used to do computer repair and I save stuff - every Windows and Mac operating system, software, music, etc. I don't even have any porn - not sure why the guy having a bunch of hard drives is meaningful. Kids (and lots of adults) who download movies have way more than 8-terabyte. In this guy's case they may find some evidence on the drives but the mere fact that he has 8 terabyte of storage space on hard drives is hardly an indication that the guy is clearly a nut case. It's not meaningful in the way that a lot of people are assuming. Somebody said, "It's staggering!". No. It is not staggering. Doh. You rarely see a modern computer that doesn't ship with at least a one gig drive. If there are a few computers in the house - I mean, c'mon. Obviously, we don't have a bunch of computer nerds here in the comments section. If he had filled 8-terabyte with the names of victims he would have had to have killed every man, woman, in child in twenty or thirty states...... If they find evidence on a single, old 60-gig drive that's important. But 8 terabyte in one house is not super weird. That's not "staggering".

He certainly is a narcissist as is Rex. He almost murdered me and listening to the trial where the lady had to fight for her life after she stabbed her boyfriend and the prosecutors did not want his prior bad acts to come into play because the prosecutors overcharged her in their male zealous to convict the lady. So some prior bad acts did not come into play with my ex either. He had many domestic assault charges levied against him from his previous wives. So yes she was abused all the way and seem as though he controlled the home situation even though he was out murdering women. clown. My ex wasn't out murdering, he was out womanizing and gambling.
