You are an amazing and knowledgeable person. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in a way, non-Jews like myself, can watch and understand. Thank you for all the work you put into these lectures. I look forward to lectures about the everyday life of Jews in Biblical times.

Hello Dr. Abramson , I did not know that the five books of Moses were the only ones that were attributed directly to God. That makes a lot of sense to me now. I am pretty sure though that most Christians are unaware of this as well. They tend to think that God wrote the whole thing. That stone of King Moab was pretty cool too :>

Dr. Abramson can you cite where you get your wonderful maps (in all of the lectures)? They look different than a lot of the non-Jewish/academic maps I've seen. Thanks!

Thank you for your lecture, Dr. Abramson. By the way, whenever I read 1 Kings, it always make me ponder on multiple issues. How did Rehoboam whose mother was an Ammonitess end up becoming the king of Israel after Solomon? I also question if there is any coincidence between Rehoboam losing TEN tribes and his ascension to the kingship of Israel leading to an inevitable violation of Deuteronomy 23:3 (TEN-generation rule against Ammonites). In addition, what happened to the line between king Solomon and his Egyptian wife - a daughter of Pharaoh? And why did Pharaoh protect exiled Jeroboam rather than handing him over to Solomon? Can this be viewed as a sign that the alliance between Israel and Egypt collapsed prior to Solomon's death?

Hi Rabbi! Can you make a video on where most Jews today come from today? Meaning which area of Israel, or if from Babilonia etc. It would be interesting if we could connect history with... us.

Are you saying that Rehoboam wasn’t really talking about his fathers hips? Haha Great video! One foolish choice and the rift in the kingdom is so well documented by history! While watching I was reminded of Solomons words, “wisdom excels folly as light excels the darkness” but even then “as it happens to the fool so it happens even to me.” Even if we should refuse to hear the scriptures, Israel’s documentable history still will testify achieving excellent wisdom is not enough, but to “Fear God and keep His commandments”. I wonder how the kingdom would have been different if Solomon had kept his heart faithful to God as he once so ironically warned his sons to do.

I find it very ironic that today Israel would militarily defeat both Egypt and Syria together, and in fact has done so.

It can not be the jews that fought Moab, but Israelites. I noticed that you are confused about Israelites and jews, not the first time, jews are from the kingdom of judah, you should know that, you even once talked about jews before the kingdom of Judah. Come on Moreh.
