Hey Erik, just wanted to say thanks for all the vids you've done on this phone. I've had mine for about a week now and it blows my mind that OnePlus could bring a device as good as this to market at this price point. Performance has been excellent, the screen looks great, call quality is good, I could go on and on. The main gripe I'm seeing across reviews is the 60hz refresh rate but it doesn't bother me at all, actually I'm glad they did that as I'm sure it contributes to the awesome battery life that you accurately pointed out. Everything seems very fluid as far as I can see. The expandable storage was what sealed the deal for me. I like to keep my music collection locally on the device so that was a must. My previous phone was a LG V30+ which has a legendary DAC in it so I was worried that the sound quality would be a huge let down but I was wrong. Playing music over my Bluetooth earbuds was excellent and using wired buds was even better. I'm primarily a metalhead but I tried a few different other genres as well and everything was crisp, clear, and plenty loud. I couldn't be happier with the purchase, thanks again for all the solid info 🤘

I bought this phone as well, coming from a Samsung S10. Everything you wrote is exactly what I would say too. The phone rocks, my last phone was amazing so I worried about this holding up, and the N20 truly has!!

One really cool tidbit that I learned about OnePlus is that the CEO used to work for Samsung and he said that the goal he set for himself when he started this company was to create a phone whose technological spec's matched Samsung's & had a retail cost several hundred dollars less than Samsung's.

I wound up ordering this on Tuesday through T-Mobile. After watching several videos I came to the conclusion this was one of the best value smartphones out there. There aren’t very many $300 phones that has so many features. OLED display, NFC, great battery life, great sound, plenty of storage with SD card support, headphone jack, great build unique looking, in display fingerprint sensor and face unlock, fast charging with a charger included. The N20 has more included than some phones twice the price like the Pixel 6 or the a53 5g. Oh and people obsess way too much over high refresh rate. I don’t care about 90 hertz and 120 hertz because they destroy battery life. I’d much rather have an OLED 60 hertz display than a 90 hertz LCD display. Which in this price range you get one or the other. I find it hilarious you call the display low quality simply because of the refresh rate and it not upscaling to 4k. You don’t necessarily have to have those features to make a great looking display. Case and point the Pixel 5a. It has a 1080p 60 hertz OLED display and it’s probably one of the best displays I’ve seen on any phone period. And that’s counting I had the atrocious s22 which was horrible on battery life. With all you get on this phone, I feel like OnePlus made all the right choices in getting the basics of the phone right. Keeping in mind the price, you won’t find a phone this price with the same overall value in my opinion.

I just bought my N20 UNLOCKED at BestBuy for $185 (Jan 2023). Changed my carrier from MetroPCS to MintMobile for $15 month (4 Gb Data enough for me). Case from Amazon for $7 includes screen protector. Perfect. I really like this phone.

SicErikTech, enjoyed this video and just got a OnePlus N20 5G. So far, it's growing on me thus making me a fan. Out of the box, it was at 35%. I charged it for a good 15 minutes to set it up and been on KZbin for about 35 or so minutes; about 5 or 6 videos later, I went from 43% (since charging) to 40%. Like....wow!!! That's crazy!!! I could only imagine how good its standby time is. I wish - yet am hoping - there is a way I could install an APK version of Dolby Atmos. If you know a way, let me know. Again, awesome video.

Just bought N20 for $230 (unlock, Cricket). Wait a long time for AMOLED to come down, now it is time for me to get it... Good battery, awesome screen, lightness, less junk apps, decent speed... Just love it...

These lower performance phones don't make sense to have high refresh rate displays. It's underpowered. The market for it isn't super smooth animations. It's long battery life. It's also not hitting the market of people that are going to go in the settings and change it. They're optimizing the experience for the average person that gets their free phone from T-Mobile.

SD8 G1 is terrible on battery (Moto Edge+ 2022 cannot get more than 8 hours while One Ace and get 10 hours) I am interested in N20 as well. Even speaker is mono, sound is good as One Ace. Display is decent even 60Hz, IPS doesn't get much benefit from 90Hz due to slow response.

The only bad thing about the phone is the notifications which is a software problem not a hardware so it can be fixed
