8 things I wish I knew before I started this crazy reselling adventure. There are no BOLOs or any brand specific helpful things in this video just my stupid face blabbing, so I apologize if you came for BOLOs.

It is all perspective. It is certainly easier than digging trenches and pulling wire and running conduit like I used to do before my sit down job, but its much more physical than cubicle jobs. It is a great thing to have some control of how much money you make, that is for sure!

Good info…adding how important it is to set correct pricing on your items if you want to have a successful store…using sold comps…sell through data…and desirability to correctly price. eBay hides sellers items to the buyers if the algorithm deems your items prices as unmarketable…I think this is especially important for new sellers who have limited items they are allowed to list Also new sellers….customer service and following your store policies…low feedback and getting a negative will hurt you in future sales and the fees u have to pay to eBay on all future sales for at least 6 months. Do not cancel sales unless directed by buyer….do not ship late per your stated policy….make an effort to have items arrive better than expected

Thanks for all your Info , I can't stand to listen to 80% of these Resellers on KZbin , and their 90210 Jargon, slander , and basic 101 info For 8 yrs with just straight ignorant advice... thanks , one thing I don't understand is how everyone calculated the STR with A higher percentage than A 100 % that is not accurate ....

This makes me glad I spent almost every evening, for 5 months, watching ebay reseller videos and learning all I could, before setting up my ebay seller acct. Also, I had to laugh when you said music is distracting... because when I hear certain songs from my various playlists, I just HAVE to stop working and dance instead! Lol. Consequently, like you I've learned to avoid any distractions when working. And you're right about it being more physically demanding than expected - my first 3 months of pay have gone directly to my chiropractor! Lol.

Yes it will kick your butt if you are not ready. I can now finally listen to music when I take photos but I have to be careful not to play the more dance-y stuff cus even though I don't look like it, I have been known to boogie pretty hard core. Just ask my cats.

On the same page that you block them on down at the bottom there is a box you can click so they can't contact you anymore. When I block someone I have a group of ebay friends and we share the name of the buyer.

Whaaaaat!!!! Oh you better believe I am going to find and use that box. I don't hesitate to block these a holes. I blocked one today for sending a $5 offer on a $50 item. No way that person turns into a good customer. Buh bye is my attitude!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I’m getting ready to retire and started a basic eBay store aimed at golf clubs, apparel, etc, basically everything golf. I opened my store about 2 months ago and quickly learned the arbitrage experience has a pretty good learning curve so, I really appreciate individuals like you who are open and honest about this line of work. 13:00 I’m brand new to the game (~6 months), but you’re absolutely right on keeping an eye on gas expenses. It’s one of the things that I identified right away would be an issue. Got rid of my gas guzzler at month 4 and jumped into a cheap EV. There’s tons of free/low-cost charging in my area, and on top of that my local power company kicked us back a $4k rebate for switching to electric so it just made sense. Working out great for us - saving a ton of money that we can put back into the business.

Nice! Over time the driving really adds up. If you are doing this for years, EV or a 4 Cyl is critical unless you are already wealthy or don't mind spending on gas. I hate wasting money!

It's on mobile only, and it's only sold listings. PC I can do it all day and sometimes I do. I have heard this from other people, but I have also heard others say they get limited too. This is weird I wonder what is going on. I am talking about probably after 100 or so sold listings searches. How many do you do without getting limited?

I’ve never experienced a comp search limit either & I’m looking things up most days for 16 hours on my iPhone. I hope I never experience this. I don’t type nearly as fast as you do either so perhaps I still never do as much as you in a day. Love your information!

Curious if you use locking filters on your searches? I’ve never run into eBay stopping me from looking at solds. However I lock my filters and sometimes I have to unlock and reset in order to see solds.

This is so odd. I have heard other resellers hit the limit too. I am talking about a lot of searches in a very short time probably over 100 in an hour before it blocks me. FWIW sometimes I can turn off my phone, wait ten minutes and try again and I am good. I am going to call eBay and see if anyone can shed some light on this.

@@L.RoweFischer the only thing that I can think of is that ebay has set up something to block bots or crawlers from mining their data, so maybe you trigger a limit and it sets off an algorithm,, again not made for human users but maybe to prevents other computers from mining their data.
