I am convinced the issue of fashion has more to do with personality rather than being rich or poor. For example, a rich guy will wear a 10 dollar t-shirt and a 50 dollar shoe, but top it up with a $ 30,000 Rolex watch. On the other hand, I have seen rich people go all out and wear some really expensive clothes. My understanding is it depends on how they made their money. Self-made folks tend to be more frugal in their spending and would therefore wear cheap clothes. Most of them grew up poor, or middle class and still have some of their old habits. However, the ones with generational wealth will spare no expense when it comes to clothing. They are the ones that buy brands such as Gucci and Versace.

Somali Tigers I have known wealthy people who lived like paupers, so determined to hang onto their money to pass on to their kids or whatever. This video gives some great advice! However, as I have observed, rich people can be so obsessive about saving their money, it’s like hoarding, and they don’t even get as much enjoyment out of their lives as we do. I knew of at least 2 examples where the people lived in the plainest surroundings and ate the most meager food. I say, use common sense with whatever money you have, whether it’s great riches or a bare living. We don’t have to starve, which depletes the immune system and leads to serious illness. Yet many people are into materialism, constantly buying “stuff” to look cool and keep up with peers. But as you get older, if you are wise you understand more with each passing year that “you can’t take it with you.”

Yes. Never take a loan out on something that depreciates in value. Like a more expensive car than you need. Or not paying off the credit card in full every month. If you charge something like clothes or expensive hand bags but take months to pay it off it costs far more than the purchase price due to interest plus they both wear out (depreciate in value).

Aside from the food part I do agree with most of the points. Food is a personal choice, rich and poor alike eat healthy or unhealthy food. Nothing to do with rich or poor unless you can't afford the food.
