I brought in a small flat of baby arugula last year and when I came back into the room the flat was on the floor and the arugula all eaten! I was surprised as this particular green was very peppery! Thank God they didn’t get sick or anything. 😸🙀

4:55 - Cat baths have always been an annual thing with us. About this time of year (late April - early May), with a good flea shampoo (because why not), the real purpose is to get rid of as much of their winter undercoat as possible. We typically get at least two baseball-sized clumps of hair off of each cat. Then, several hours later, a really good nose-to-tail brushing might get up to half that much again! They don't much enjoy it - lots of caterwauling - but they're noticeably happier after its all over; they're all flirty and purry and chirpy, like "Boy, is that better!" and all is forgiven. It cuts down on hairballs, also! And no, even the most patient cat will not sit still for enough brushing to remove the winter coat as well as a good gentle scrubbing in a bath will do. Fill the bathtub first, high as the cat's belly, close the door! and use a 64 oz tumbler to pour the water over them. Pull them out to soap and wash, scraping the hair off your hands until it no longer gives you 'mittens' every couple of minutes. Back in the tub, pour water with the tumbler again to rinse, then towel dry and you're done. We do this in the morning, let them go off and pout, then catch up with them in the evening for a good brushing.

I have had one to 2 cats, for 16 years but i didn’t know some of these tips! I did not know about cat grass. I am going to get some for my 2 girls to see if they will eat it. And i think you may have met my older cat, Janie. When i pet her, she puts her butt up in the air. It makes me laugh every day. And when i scratch her face on the whiskers, she is so happy and she tilts her head back so i can scratch under her chin, just like you said. I got a new cat tree a few days ago and both cats were mad at me! ( the old one was falling apart). Neigher would go near it. After i watched this video today i sprinkled catnip all over it and they both went on it! As you mentioned, one cat, the young one, is much more into catnip, goes nuts over it. But Janie, who is around 8, just a little bit but at least she tried out the new cat tree. Last night i had some success with newer cat Lola, who i have never touched or pet, she won’t let me. I was lying on the carpet watching tv and i had a throw blanket over me and she came onto it any lay next to me til i went to bed! First time🐈❤️

I have a lot of expensive toys on high shelves. I want them at eye level. My 2 cats have never once jumped onto one of my toy shelves. I never thought it was because both rooms with toys have cat trees. I can take a picture right now of both of them next to a grand in toys. Just sleeping. They dont care.
