My 20 lb. Maine coon sleeps with me as the "little spoon". She will grab my hand and insist I rub her belly. We both go to sleep during a long belly rub. 😻 I feel super lucky as my other cat would take my hand off if I tried it on him. 😹

Where I live, people look askance at you if you have an outdoor cat. I can’t imagine depriving a natural roaming predator of its basic need. Plus, cats always try to escape, and it becomes another thing to worry about.

I love my cat, but i will not be staff. My cat understands im the "giant man" and "giver of food" so he tends to treat me as such.

One of my cats loves chest rubs. As long as I don't do more than one or two rubs on the belly and stick to his chest, everything is good.

We have a brand-new kitten, 2 months old, he was very skittish in the beginning which we expected. However, few weeks in, this cat rolls over on his back stretches, and lets me rub that belly for as long as I can, while purring. It’s definitely rare in cats, but if you earn their trust, they’ll let you!

Henri loves belly rubs. He lets me pet his belly any time I want and for as long as I want. My other cat not so much.

But do cats really see themselves as prey? There are a million insects whose lives were snuffed out early in my home that would beg to differ. Here's another bit of trivia: did you know that when a Great Cat like lions and tigers take down their prey, they always eat the a-hole first?

You forgot rubbing their face and rolling around on my dirty socks, underwear, and used washcloths. Maully is the reason yesterday's underwear are on the rug in my bathroom instead of in the hamper.

My tabby girl loves belly rubs! She flops over as soon as someone gets close to her. The only “trap” is that she expects you to rub for quite a while.

Mine like a good belly rub (actually massage) heaps. She also likes that I massage her paws, yes back paws too. Throat rubs, chin rubs, ear rubs and back scratches... She enjoys these so much that she sometimes almost forget to breathe and make croaking sounds of satisfaction. She'll climb on my lap and throws her back against my chest and if I'm not rub her belly in the right spot, she'll put a clawed paw on the back of my hand and "guide" my hand to the exact spot she wants.
