Isn't it cool?! I learned that one from observing a trombone player teach a beginner class!

Wow, I just had a lightbulb moment about breathing and the word HOME really really helps with taking in a big meaningful breath. Thank you!

Great tips. HOME has really helped me with support and setting myself up for the best sound. This is a beautiful little Etude.

Definitely better with those great tipps! Personally I’m always a bit stuck in the throat, also my speaking voice is tight. In any case those tipps are very important for our sound!❤

Cool concept video❤. Now I will see how disastrous that second section is. So many clever ideas of for eliminating throat tension by going in some pretty wild directions: humming forward, “home” and back of rib cage breathing, set breathing posture, buzzing, singing, flutter tonguing. This video has you soaring with so many great new teaching points. Love how you get better by distracting from the obstacle….the tension… then going back after isolating something that frees things up and you are now naturally a little better.

Yeah, I want to get more creative and with experiment with more ideas like this. If you have any to add from your experience, it would be greatly appreciated!

For me it also helps to breath in through the nose as it takes away the tension from the shoulders. But you must careful it can also create tension. Besides that breathing in through the nose is the natural idea of the body.

You definitely did sound better after flutter tongue! 😁 Recently I tried combining buzzing with flutter tongue and trying to get as high a pitch as possible with the lips. It seems to get everything ready for playing in one simple exercise: fast air, high tongue, relaxed throat and firm embouchure/corners.

If you are an over blowing player, try to think of it as your wind stream isn't focused enough. Get that stream into a smaller, more focused stream.

I was taught a variation of the Alexander technique to improve your breathing - of holding one hand on my stomach and the other on my back and breathe in for 4 hold for 4, breathe out for 4 and hold the breath out for 4. Your supposed to do this for 20 minutes and and can feel the air like a tyre round your middle to support your playing.

WoW! I love your tips! You help a lot of people, (like me). « Home » is my favourite tips ❤. Finally, can you make a video on breathing exercice? Thank you and have a good day 😊!
