Ben, you must be a great teacher and your 'kids' are fortunate to have you give them life lessons through words and modelling. They are their younger selves right now! Thanks for another meaningful video.

The last one is so true. We get one shot. We not only owe it to ourselves but to everyone around us to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible.

Love the first point! I’ve instilled in my now adult children for years that there are energy givers and energy suckers and it’s best to stay away from the latter in order to live a good life ❤

Yep. Stay away from the mood hoovers 😂

Enjoyed your message. At nearly 64 years of age, there are a number of "dear younger me" moments, but I've learned it's never too late to get after it...just move and get it done. Thx, Ben!

Consistency, variety, and strength training are how I'm able to keep improving. Granted, I'm still young (29) but good to have going forward anyways.

Thank you, Ben and Mary. We talked at the stadium yesterday (re. “The Bilingual Brain”). Your videos always make me feel a little better. This one is “so true”, please remind us from time to time, we slip back into old habits all too easily. D. P.s. (Stadium conversation) My country of birth is not the one I grew up in.

We share the same birthday Ben, so happy birthday! I also like the point that this is a one shot deal, the bit I would add to that is yes, you are older than you ever have been. But also, you are younger than you ever will be - so just go for "it"! After 7 years of running I did my firat marathon this year. I am glad I waited but also glad it is done and on to the next one!

Surround yourself with people you love regardless of what they bring you. It's not about what you can get from others.
@ThisMessyHappyАй бұрын
I would argue that you’re making the same point. Because the people that you love will no doubt enrich your lives and you theirs. It’s not about what they bring you but how they inspire you or make you feel, and that’s why you love them 😊

Just come to this video from your Chicago triumph! Thanks for this. Can I ask how old you are? I'll be 47 soon, planning to move up to marathons in my 50s, and using the rest of my forties to complete some 10k and 21k goals. I've just subscribed Ps I think your consistentcy point applies to what you've been achieving with your KZbin channel. I think you'll hit 100,000 very soon

Eating right is honestly the EASIEST part of the process we are in complete control of what we choose to consume and making smart choices is kinda common sense these days lol 😆

You say that but if there is chocolate in my house, even with my level of willpower generally being much higher than most, I have no chance. It’s getting eaten. I still think food is the hardest part, for me anyway 😊
