Hello Everyone, Frost here. Welcome back to a new classic wow video. This is a continuation from the rare and expensive vanillla items that we made back in september. That video recieved very good feedback, getting close to 100.000 views and having one the best audience retention, which led me to believe that you guys really enjoy this type of content.
Like we said, vanilla is abundant in rare treasures and today we're going to discuss eight more of them, explaining how to obtain and why they worth so much. This should serve as piece of information, a little bit of knowledge to carry with you in the upcoming classic release, because it would be a shame to find yourself in a position owning one of these items and not knowing the true value of it. Knowledge is power and power is to be wilded wisely. Without further adue, lets explore.
The first item in our list is kinda of odd. A hand, The hand, of Edward the odd. This is a direct reference to the early world of warcraft developer Eric Dodds, although he might be known for being the lead designer for Heartstone, this developer worked on almost every game blizzard had to offer, from starcraft to diablo in rather really important positions.
An item that seems to belong to and NPC that does not belong to vanilla wow. Alcor is a lvl 60 blood elf rogue training with instructor Cel and other trainees in the Murder Row of silvermoon city. Instructor Cel appears to be wearing a tier 2 bloodfang set which makes me think that part of their training happened in eastern kingdoom, sneaky passing from burning crusade, trough the portal in eastern plaguelands. In one of the journey Alcor lost his sunrazor dagger and remained forever in the history of classic wow.
One of the parts required for the legendary priest quest "Balance of light and shadow", a quest that in the end rewarded Benedicton/Anathema. Obtainig the Eye of Shadow was not easy because it dropped from Lord Kazzak, the world boss from Blasted Lands. Although it was quest item, your guild or raid in this situation had to tag the boss in order for you to get a chance at looting this item. Jeff Kaplan, the lead game designer at that time wanted to implement a plan to change this, so you can loot the Eye even if you're not in the raid group.
After carefully giving thoughts about this, they knew it was mistake to implement the impending change. They've made an update "The devs are looking into alternate methods for priests to get the drops required for the epic quest"
Which is the tendon of dragonkin from the blue dragonflight. A rare item sought after by hunters in order to obtain the ancient sinew wrapped lamina, an 18 slot epic quiver, part of the hunter's leaf quest. Just like we said on the eye of divinity, this item also dropped from one world boss, this time was Azurgos in azhara with about 60% drop chance. If you weren't in a guild that constitently killed world bosses, your odds as a hunter to obtain this quiver we're slim to none.

I cant wait for the experience all over again!! Epics and legendary weapons make it so freaking fufilling when you log in and see your effort put directly into your gear. When someone runs by and you see an item that you want so bad you have to run after them and try to get a better look its just game instinct and im sure almost 90% of people do this. The item grade is actually true epics are really epic and legendarys are legendary.. That instant when you are about to open the loot from a high level raid is like a drug and there is no way to describe the feeling you receive when you look at your drops and see the item you wanted to see. I sware there is absolutely nothing like it at all in the world. I am literally waiting for the second its released to try to be one of the first people to get in the game before the server crashes. Yes you heard it here first(definitely not) the servers will be crashing multiple times a day even with them adding the zone player instances(not the real name) which will make certain players go into different "instances" in certain zones that are overpopulated the nostalgia along with new players will have this game crashed out I just hope it sees a better release than Diablo 3 ahhahhahaha

Just one really simple tip for you :) You can remove the noise in your voice audio with audacity really easily, you can either directly record with audacity or just import your voice audio track and remove the noise. Its really really easy, there should be several tutorials on youtube :)

About the dagger and tanking. In BC I was a progression raider warrior tank that had to remain high on threat list for Gruul. I found that using two weapons (fury style) as an off tank, not currently taking the hits from the boss, was a great way ramp threat up on the primary target (Gruul). Sometimes I would even pull threat from the MT and throw a shield and end up main tanking. Heroic strike is a huge threat gen while in defensive stance when built with improved defensive stance. This all went back to weapon skill + fast attack speed weapons. You have nailed down some serious good tanking info here. Well done.

This video reminds me of how hardcore vanilla was. Me and two friend struggled so much with a quest containing an invincible ogre in Blasted Lands. So happy to see you put Spellshock pants on this list. it is indeed super rare, and can ONLY drop from bosses in that specific instance. Unfortunately, many level'ers, will have no clue what this item is worth, and u may often end up either seing a noob putting on the leggings for level'ing progression, or on AH for a very low amount of gold. I was twinking in the 49 bracket on multiple private servers, and have yet never seen this item on the AH - EVER :(

I remember I was on my NE hunter killing those skeletal guards in the eastern plaguelands that were near a ramp portion of land that was North/Northeast of the ridge portion outside Tyr's Hand just farming for items and cloth for things to DE/sell and the Hand of Edward the Odd dropped for me. I didn't sell it and opted to use it on my pally alt instead. I knew epics were expensive having owned a few, but at 12 I didn't really grasp just how desired this item was nor the depth of possible play it would open up for a user. In another instance I remember killing Azuregos in WS with some friends/guildies and getting the sinew. I never got the chance to finish the Rhok'Delar chain for my would be bow/staff combo to use with the prestigious quiver, but I remember the excitement at getting that quiver. Turned into a bag of comparable size once the ammo update landed some xpacs later, but I still have it on my hunter to this day along with so many other age old goodies I sought or collected through the ages. I really do appreciate your videos and the content you provide, Frost, so thank you for allowing me to wax nostalgic of a time long past. Farming Winterspring demons is something I plan to do once I get enough gear, early MC and Ony gear should be enough I think. That way I can start farming them since I'll be a Paladin and can use all my kit making the fights easier. Hopefully I'll get at least one Eye drop so I can sell it or give it to a deserving member of my guild for brownie points.

the epic quiver was actuly amazing... and necesary for speed runs beacuse hunters would go through a full quiver of arrows a raid... often having to hearth out to buy non enginierred vendor arrorws.
