Something worth note is you can inspect any player and look at all spells and talents they have, so if you are in a battleground and a teammate is doing a million damage you can check out that build and see what’s good through your own evaluation like that

I started recently and i'm having a lot of fun. The one thing i dislike is dungeons, because, for one, no one talks and everyone is just rushing to boss and aoeing everything. Makes me feel bad seeing dungeons i played long ago being so trivialized.

Very nice guide, thank you for putting together for those who are starting new or just coming back after a long hiatus. Edit: Can you respec, on Area-52 server, if you chose one of the archetypes to level with? So if I pick "White Walker" for instance and it has an ability I want to swap out for another, can you do that or are you stuck with all the spells they recommend?

As fun it might sound, its a nightmare for new players. Im playing on area 52 and have no idea how it works. Picked an archtype, saw some pre made builds and zero idea how mystic enchantments work or do i need to get it or is it included. to ocomplicated

Yeah, that's just a learning curve.. you just need to go into the world with a character accepting that you don't know the best route to follow.. max level a char and you probably know 80%

Honestelly, don't think to much about it. Just enjoy your first character and you'll slowly start getting a hand on things as you play.

agree 100%. if i have a question about some mechanic, i spend 5 minutes searching for it and if i don't find the answer, i say 'fuck it' and log in for a couple hours.

Transmog is pretty straight forward, You just need to know from where to get the items. You can go to warderobe and when You hover over an item it will tell You where to get it.

New player here. Im playing on area 52. Is it worth doing prestige as a fresh 70? Or should i work on gearing up. I like my build but im missing a ton of mystic enchantments as i just kept over writing them when i tried something new.

If You like your build then don't. Mystic enhancements can be bought off auction house. At least most of them. Just start farming scrolls in manastorm to polish your build further

How is the population for this game? I am tempted to give it a try, but I like leveling with others and seeing other people out in the world. Is this a game where parts of the world feel completely empty? Or that people are standing in line to kill mobs(not something I necessarily want either). Something in between?

Well ATM it's more of a instanced game rather then open world. Manastorm their new feature completely took over leveling and early gearing at max level. It's also best source of scrolls for rerolls so majority of Your time as a new player You will spending there. Especially that it can also be done solo.

The only reason would be too low lvl, as lockpicking skills scales with your level. On max You can open everything

@@venarioo i tried a bear tank with low succes tbh, pretty good luck woth my rolls and im as squishy as a dps, ill try a crimson champion next, dodge and parry didnt work for me

Strange, people told me that tanks are not that hard to roll, as long as You stack defensive layers

There is one important question tho. How would a new player know which build scales well and what has dead end before spending hours into something that sucks badly?

A rule of thumb: stack your gimmick. Hyperspecialize. Pick one thing to be good at and be really good at it. Lets take scorched earth, for example. Burst damage = haha big number. How we get big number? Stack your gimmick, in this case, spell critical strike chance. If you have heirlooms, you want crit heirlooms. If you have mystic enchants, you want crit. If you have crit talents, slot em in. If you have ability cards that boost crit and/or dps, take em (molten mind, arcane power, icy veins, etc,). Orc gets a spellpower buff racial, troll gets haste. Either one will make number bigger. ALWAYS NUMBER BIGGER.

@@AndrewRussell-dz8zy My gimmick is to put atalai and searing totems and spam totemic overload, oh and my damage comes also from thorns and retribution aura, iam doing up to 2k dps but i have no more synergetic talents for pick to improve my build somehow

@@Dea07thox 2k aoe? At what item level? Is your build focused around pushing into higher solo manastorms or are you doing mythics? Also, totemic overload has a base cooldown of 12 seconds, so are you making use of lightning shield, retribution aura, molten armor, or retaliation? If you're tanking, are you using armored to the teeth and hunter vs wild? If you're dpsing, are you synergizing your mobility, damage reduction, and damage cooldown talents? There are youtube videos of people doing 70k single target dps, and they had to roll hundreds of thousands, if not millions of marks to make that happen.

You level ULTRA FAST i hit level 16 within the hour. Took me 10 minutes (while reading a lot) to get 10. You oneshot most mobs making it possible to fight 8-10 at a time so AoE is mandatory. You will drop a ton of epic loot thats kevel 50-60 scaled to your level. So before you hit 20 you will have gear that you won't change til you hit 70 probably. Summary: The server has a great conzept but is very retail oriented. It's a meaningless skinnerbox not an adventure

Well Ascension overall is more endgame oriented. The only thing that keeps leveling alive is the prestige system that gives You some rewards for resetting Your level. But yeah it feels more like retail in vanilla setting.

The talent books in towns are bugged not letting me upgrade top rank available but a book follower or one from someone else worked. I was in a battleground and clicked an eNemies follower book to upgrade 10 of my spells while they were attacking me 😂

Strange, never had any problems with spell upgrades. Must have been funny to be pummeled while learning ;D You could say that You learned the hard way xD

It's not a bug. Those books only train you until level 20. After that you have to buy the paying version of the book, or go oldschool and train at class trainers.

Hey Man. Dungeons are available from level 10. Most people use manastorms as those are the fastest and most chill. Especially if You find group on the world chat. There's plenty of those.

Pff i just installed Ascension WOW. It says there are 39k online players. There is no way that is a real number. /who doesen't work , chat panel is disabled to check and as well capital cities are pretty empty .Stormwind has no more than 100 players online at time. This is Area 52 server . Even so is the smallest server should still have at least 10k players online out of 39k players. Maximum playersbase is 1k maybe not even that. I hate when they lie to people . Pretty shitty server.
