Emma Gustafsson it's a setting powder. It's meant to be used all over the face either the same way you would use a translucent powder or you can use it over your regular setting powder if you like. The iridescence is in there to help blur imperfections and lines. This is not intended to be used as a highlighter in the same way the Colourpop and Becca highlighters are. Guerlain makes some of the best quality higher end makeup products and to see the product misrepresented like that was pretty shoddy imo.

It's hard to get a creamy sheen on fair skin, hence why some of the colourpop ones are more glittery, but only certain ones are like that. The ones shown here and specifically for a more glittery look. Lunch money by colourpop get a more lit from within look than flexitarian

Colourpop highlighters aren't meant t be used with a fluffy brush. They're better with your finger and the last highlighter isn't technically a highlighter. It's meant to be used as a finishing powder, hence the color correcting properties it claims to have.

Colourpop highlighters come in different types. I have 'Lunch Money' which has a lovely sheen and 'Spoom' which has straight up glitter. Also, they're meant to be applied with the fingers for a more noticeable highlight and with a synthetic brush for a subtle glow. Just something to keep in mind.

That Becca highlighter looked the best to me. The colorpop one didn't do much and I have a $3 dollar elf highlight that's way more pigmented. It also annoys me that buzzfeed girls seem to know nothing about makeup in general? The Guerlain Meteorites Voyage Exceptional Compacted Pearls of Powder is not a highlighter, though. It's used to blur skin imperfections to make you look hella flawless. It's like the Hourglass ALPs, but softer (in appearance). The GMV powder always gets a bad rep for being an awful highlighter, when it's not intended to be used as one.

I bought me a Becca highlight and it broke a day later. I watched my snatched hopes and dreams shatter along with it in slow motion.... the guerlain compact is a translucent powder and it's a compact version of their OG product pearls, and it really does combat redness and perfect and add glow. I haven't used it in aages because priceyy, but it's amazing.

amazinglyMEmandy not in the way these women are trying to though. It is a colour corrector. It has greens and blues etc to rid cheeks of rosacea and dark spots, and I have 41 year old skin and it looks great on me, but its too expensive unfortunately. I think because it has pearls in they advertise it more highlighty than it really is though. It should be just called a powdered colour correction product
