This describes a narcissist exactly. Calling a person "evil" I think just dehumanises them and can make it more difficult to heal from narcissistic abuse. Evil isnt a personality disorder. Narcissism, psychopathy and sociopathy are.
@RyuuTenno4 жыл бұрын
@MissUnderstood no, they're still evil. I think they're saying that, being evil isn't a mental disorder. Given that you must actively pursue such destructive acts, you become an evil person as a result. Thus, those who torture kids/animals are evil. However, many people do have mental disorders that can classify them as evil, so, it is a bit complicated. And i think that's where he's trying to make the distinction. It's difficult to get past something when, or in this case, someone and their effects on you, if you make them seem alien. Unfortunately there is a limit to this concept. I do agree, that there are people who are classified as this when they dont need to be, but I don't think everyone under this label is actually evil. I think there's some with legitimate issues, and so they're venting/dealing with it wrong. I do not defend their actions, but, I can understand them.

“Listen to what other people are saying about them “ is very toxic. A lot of people have misunderstandings or just don’t personally like a person, so they go around and talk shit about them in order to isolate that person. Raleigh Deaver Exactly what I was thinking! You never know someone’s motive for talking bad about someone or if it’s true. A lot of people don’t like a person for no reason and lie about the person to make them look bad in a attempt to hurt them and to make others dislike them and not want to be around them. You should go by what you know about the person and how they treat you, how you’ve seen them treat others, and what kind of person they are around you NOT go by what others say about them. I’ve seen so many people lie about good people to others make them look bad.

Because it's psychology, I'm somewhat surprised you think evil exists. I think it does even though I was a paramedic - and couldn't use that option for what an EDP was experiencing. But I saw it all the time & we had to clean up their messes all the time. It must be pretty damn easy to feel no empathy when you're NOT the one that's going to clean up your mess! They sure do have ten TONS of sympathy for themselves though. I saw that too. The guy had beaten hi girlfriend and by accident punched his hand through a window and he was going into critical condition because the glass had cut one of his arteries and he was REALLY worried about himself, asking a neighbor to get him a towel and don't let him bleed to death, all while STILL not caring what he'd done to his girlfriend and unable to comprehend why people refused to help him.

I 100% believe my biological mother is an evil person. (She also checked all the boxes on the toxic parent videos.) It's almost impossible to share this with people, because others can be SO judgemental when you criticize family members, especially if they're in denial about their experiences with abuse, or just had a really good family. But the thoughts just genuinely occur to me when I remember something my abuser did to me, or when they leave me a vicious voicemail detailing their selfish thought process. I agree with this, but one thing you should keep in mind is that when other people "warn" you about someone, it may sometimes be a lie or a manipulative ploy to turn you against an innocent person. It can also sometimes be based on rumors they have heard rather than personal experiences they have had with the subject, and as we all know, rumors aren't always true.
@specialtwice49754 жыл бұрын
Evil people are the nicest, most kindest people on the planet when you first meet them. You will think they are an angel, a really really good person who just got dealt a rough pack of cards in life. Like, the worst. They will tell you a horror story of how they grew up and that everyone seems to be against them, hate them, except you. You are special. You get them. You connected to them in ways nobody else did. You can be their savior. You can save them from themselves... But you can't and they won't even try either... Time will pass. Months, years. The angel you once saw is now replaced with the devil. (They will steal, cheat, lie and talk about you behind your back) They always were the devil though, they just pretended to be good to reel you in. I.e. Narcissist, sociopath, psychopath. Best advice: "If I meet someone who is charming or really likable and super friendly I will excuse myself to the washroom or go to another table." "You lost me at 'can I get you a drink?' and 'nice shoes'" -Dr.Ramani My advice: If someone is super friendly and complimenting you a lot in the first 2-3 weeks of meeting that is a sign for BS. "Hey bestie!" "I LOVE your shoes!" "Omg! Where did you get that purse??? It is gorgeous!" "You know, you are much prettier with your hair down." "I like that blue on you, it matches your eyes." "I've never felt this way before." "You are the best part of my day!" "There is just something about you, you are different." Second sign is telling a sob story right away. Normal people will not open up that fast about their past because they usually are embarrassed about it and don't want to dump their issues on people they hardly know. "My dad passed away when I was 6." "My dad would hit my mom pretty bad growing up." "I got put in foster care." "My dog died last week 😢" "My bf kicked me out and I don't have any place to stay, can I crash with you?" "My whole family hates me, they talk behind my back and everything. I feel so alone." Psychopaths, sociopaths, and narcissists will do these 2 tactics to reel you in. To make you feel more vulnerable and let your guard down, they will play on your emotions to reel you in and get what they want because they don't have any for you. None. They don't care about you, only the house, car, job, relationship or money you can give them. They only want to use you.

Special Twice It depends on the evil person. I have met a LOT of evil people who are mean to people the second they see them and don’t even try to pretend to be nice, but they usually do that to people they don’t like (for no good reason) and try to convince everyone else they’re such a good normal person. I'm in my mid-30s and have been diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Disorder. I don't feel any need to connect with people, even though I logically _know_ I need others to survive. No one is an island, after all. It just comes naturally to me. I was raised mostly in social isolation; I was raised in a cult and realized it when I was only 10, so I avoided those people whenever possible. My dad was a sociopath, and my mom was religious to the point of delusion. I didn't have any friends in school because I was non-binary and one of only a handful of Asian American kids in a small town high school. And I was too busy putting myself through college without student loans to have a social life. I've been successful academically and professionally, but it's like I missed some of the basics of How To Human. If I'm between jobs and there's enough food to last a while (kinda like this quarantine!), I'm perfectly fine with being alone 24/7. My therapist always says I should let my guard down more and be more social, but the results haven't really going anywhere, even before this whole pandemic thing. Even when I go traveling and hiking, I don't make any friends and keep to myself. Which is really weird, because people like talking to me for some reason. I'm regarded as a natural leader, and the person who keeps a cool head during emergencies. When in groups - be it for work, tours, or hiking - I always end up sticking out for being more analytical, strategic, and organized than the others. And I can play the role and be all charismatic, but it's just so tiring. I don't really do the whole empathy thing either; it's more like I know how to act based on observations of what "normal" people would do. But that doesn't make me evil. I'm not out there trying to manipulate anyone. I've got my own plans and interests, so why waste time on pointless drama that I get nothing out of? It all seems like nothing but a headache to me. TLDR: I don't connect with other people, and my empathy is lacking. Doesn't make me evil, though.

A great video except the 1 thing about listening to other people regarding a person. As that might not always be the best thing to do. It's good to learn about a person on your own (in safe ways of course) and it might not always be a good thing to always go by the words of others regarding that person. For example: There was a sister who married a man and her sister came to visit on Christmas. She sits down by her new brother-in-law and starts a conversation with him. But he did not say 1 word to her, instead he gave her the most hateful look you could imagine. It's because he believed lies and assumptions told by his new wife (her sister) and other family members about her. Instead of getting to know her himself he made a judgement about her based on what they said about her.

What made that person lose it.. is when I just ignored. Talking with such ppl lead to nothing. Letting your frustrations out only helps them to say you’re the bad person. If you just ignore them they will get angry by themselves and doubt their so called leadership. If anyone here wants to give such a person another chance learn from me! Did that.. only got worse. I had a toxic friend, who I would call narcissistic, and I thought about her at every time on the video. After three ans half years I finally definitly told her it was over. I also have other friends who know about her but are still friends with her. Me I couldn't, I couldn't handle it anymore

I've met someone like this. A colleague. He was my senior so he used his power to order me around. Everyone thinks it's my fault when our argument came out at the public. But I know my side. He gets everyone in his side and I got no one lol. Though I'm not sure if this had to do with his mindset. But it seems to me that he had some issues. I had to block him out from my social media account to avoid him prying about my personal life. It was toxic.

At school, the person would alway manipulate me into doing embarrassing things, she would lie to me about my friends (who aren't evil don't worry), and wouldn't take responsibility for their mistakes. They always pretend to be nice to me, but they treat my friends like trash. So I decided to stop being friends with her, so she got mad and destroyed some stuff (I don't remember) Then she blamed me for it. I think that there's a quite simple thing that makes an evil person distinctive. They will never say "I think I might just be a bad/evil person", be it just a thought of a moment, or a conclusion that may come out once they notice their behaviour. Basically, they only notice the behaviour of others, but not theirs. The only certain thing one can trust in an evil person is how good they are in reading others and understanding their behaviour.

Having been devastatingly hurt before in serious relationships, I'm struggling with letting someone who could be an INCREDIBLE influence for the betterment of my life in. Part of me is extraordinarily afraid that the person I am considering is lying and manipulative. And the worst part is that I believe they love me but am unsure if they are just playing a long game, telling me what I want to hear until some point in the future. And I can't confirm the issues with them because, well, they live 4 hours away. It's a very complicated situation, especially because they've been a friend my whole life long and are still recovering from the end of a serious relationship. How do I tell if this is just my own anxiety disorder or them manipulating me without ruining everything if this really is the best thing to happen to me? Right now my best option seems to be to give them trust and wait, taking care of myself and giving, not giving in too easily and testing them a little. See if they blow up. But again, I'm confused. Can anyone help?

Empaths are aware of the danger a truly evil person can do to them should they “suddenly stop being friendly,” (i.e., sociopath can become stalker at night, harassing empath). The empaths I know are more introverted, highly sensitive individuals who are more cautious around people outside their “norm.”

We can do that. That's a good topic. Stay tune!
@gnarthdarkanen74644 жыл бұрын
That depends on exactly what you define as "evil"... Psychopaths are born that way. They simply lack the function of empathizing with others... Sociopaths (on the other hand) have that empathy function when they're born, just like about any "normal" children... BUT through series of traumas and mistreatment, they have it basically "crushed" right out of them... However, in both cases, that doesn't guarantee a person is going to do horrible things. There's a fair bit of psychopathy among CEO's for instance, and some even lead pretty outstanding careers studying psychology... (weirdly?) Similarly, Sociopaths don't necessarily have to invest themselves into sadistic horrors and tormenting others. SO... like someone else (smarter than me) said, "Hurt people hurt people." Essentially, there's a lot to be said for nurture, rather than nature behind anyone becoming "evil" regardless of their particular variety or "brand" or flavor of evil. Being mistreated tends to make someone progressively less sociable, and certainly less amicable... Knowing other humans intended them harm, makes them want to hurt others... if for no other reason than the control of not being hurt first. BUT there's a litany of studies ongoing about what makes someone "evil"... and the efforts to "fix" that about them. ;o)

I don’t necessarily agree with if people warn you about a certain person, cause there’s so many people out there that just don’t like a certain person for no good reason and will lie about them to make the person look bad in a attempt to hurt the person and/or convince others to not hang out with them person. I had this happen to a good friend of mine (who I’ve known almost my whole life and who I know is a very good caring and loving person). Someone didn’t like them for no reason so they lied about them and said they were mean to them and convinced multiple people to harass my friend and also convinced them to lie about the person to anyone new that came around that my friend was a bad person and that they were harassing them when it was really them harassing my friend. Just don’t go by what others say about someone cause you never know someone’s motive for talking bad about someone or if it’s true.
@Darlorthdf3 жыл бұрын
The best way i deal with evil people is a couple of things. First i give to them a lie about me that is bad for me but it is difficult for others to believe it. Then i identify what is umportant to evil man. that it is not important for others and i show interest. That is the thing i will be a strict judge and i will help the evil man a lot. Then i try to make the evil man understand that i know that he is lying without giving him direct language accusing him for lying. Then i show my worth at evil man , how good i am on something that he is good too and that it is important to him and not the rest. Now there is a bomb detonation mechanism. The evil man will try to harm me and he will use the lie i gave to him because he has the chance to harm me because in his world he is better than me.... That way he will unmask himself and show that he is a liar. The domino of destruction starts as he entered in my game the thing that is important to him only..the other people will not bother as they understand that he is lying and they will pull him down using the thing that it is important to him only. He will try..and this time he will come to me back. For second time i will judge him bad and i will give him space to lie. This time i might uncover a lie to the social circle or show that ..we might deal with a liar who ..pulls other down so he pulls himself up.. The evil man now crumbles down into pieces. Usually evil people are my easy prey. They are my hobby. I do not deal with them. I destroy them giving them a chance to change. If they do not...they destroy themselves by simply giving them another chance to attack..the wrong person . I usually harm an evil human every 2 years. The evil human i seek as my target is someone who usually destroyed lives of innocent people due to their lower social rank and his intentions to rank upwards walking on bodies. I do not feel any type of empathy for these . Am i evil? Yes i am . Ι am feeding my thirst destroying evil people and i am very picky with my targets , the more difficult target is .. the better for me. Through the years of hunting i have many many ways to make a man end to psychiatrist,or lose friends,or lose job,or lose rank because he was having fun destroying other peoples lives for his own thirst.

What do you mean? Did you want to elaborate?
@ivann99244 жыл бұрын
@Clarity Animates. Not really, being oblivious to their own behavior means there's a chance they don't even realize it and so they're lacking awareness. If that's the case, it might be that no one really taught them that those behavior are undesirable... Just so you know this could stem from the fact that people around them do not critique them so they do not see the reason why this behaviors is unjustifiable. A lot of people i see only knows to belittle or insult another person, but not care to criticize or elaborate on why some behavior is bad. This is also a problem as not every person can figure what their mistakes are without others pointed out.. and so those people are doomed to repeating the same mistake until they figure it out. Some people don't figure that out and continues that behavior to the old days.. Society is complicated, but it will ONLY get better only if each of us are willing to cater for each other

I want to believe the there is no such thing as evil person. Those signs, if you really think about it, exist in you too every once and a while. There are people who posses most of it and it doesn't mean they're evil, they are just unfortunate to posses something that could destruct other people and themselves. It's not a reason to isolate them but my point is not a reason to become stupid. If anything, I think the possible way for them to bre treated as a person at the same time not get hurt is do not get too attached to them or get attached at all. If they became too much to handle then make it clear to them that you could and will leave them. It doesn't mean you isolated them because you gave them a chance, it just doesn't work out and became toxic. I believe they could change and if not at least they are not treated as a monster. I'm sorry 😂 this is a very long comment geez
