1. Defend on point: practice standing an a corner and defend 2. Body conditioning 3. Don't let pressure fighter bully you 4. Make him respect you: hit them hard 5. Test at the beginning of the fight: how much power his strikes have 6. Take angles, be mobile 7. It's all mental, they wanna make it quick and tired fast 8. Use front kick & take angle

I agree but one problem is that they can catch the front kick even it comes behind the jab. May be I was making it too obvious. Or may be its a sparring thing where they don’t have to worry about the speed or the pain.

The hardest thing to get used to against a pressure fighter is getting used to someone staying so close to you all the time.. I just try stay relax and counter or let them in and fight them on the inside, fuck taking steps back, take the fight to them, but stay calm and pick your hard shots

He was a pretty strong fighter with a compact frame and pressure style. You managed to use your length not just for distance but in close and around the outside with good skill. Well fought. Liam Harrison is rough and tough... but you got to be as tough but also much smarter and well composed.... easier said than done.

Beautiful advice! I’ve always prioritized defense. Well, mostly for my son. For myself, I started working almost 100% offense until I realized how important training defense is. I gotta play catch up now because I didn’t train my stationary/inside defense very much. However I did benefit from having to make up for it by bettering my footwork. Thanks for the video. Great tips!
