English with Lucy my grandfather was from Yorkshire but his father was from Sussex and my great great grandfather was from Oxford and went to university there. I remember reading very young 6 yrs old and using a dictionary to look up words that I didn’t know. I also remember not being allowed to use ketchup and discussions about which is proper fork in right hand vs fork in left hand. My great grandfather was the vicar in Mappleton, Yorkshire.

Ok. Esta mina es increible. La dedicación que le pone a sus videos. Su modulación, entonación y el ritmo. Como interpreta situaciones para emplear las palabras o frases que trata de enseñar. Y por supuesto el acento ingles es hipnotico. No hay forma de aburrirse escuchandola. Tambien se parte de buena. You have a new subscriber......From Buenos Aires.

To learn English , you should only do one thing . You should practice. Yeeeh practice it try to go back in time and imagine yourself as a baby. How could you learn your mother language? By listening, right! Listening and trying to speak. Try and make mistakes .it's fine, But in the end i promise you. You will do it.

She speaks very clear English. It is easier for the English learners or non native speakers to follow and understand her lesson.. If you go to other part of UK like Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Scotland or nothern Ireland etc and have conversations with the ordinary people, you will find difficult to understand them.

A hint for Point 5 (if you are a learner): Choose TV series and films you love so much that you have already watched them dozens of times in your mother tongue. Doing so, you will know the "big picture" extremely well and can put all focus on language, words and pronunciation. I did that with "Game of Thrones", and it paid off extremely well for me.

Thank you for making this helpful video. I tried to avoid using subtitles while listening to you and ended up putting the video at × 1.25 speed :) I'm French and I'm studying English at university. I passed the Cambridge First for Schools last year and barely got the C1 level, but I'm not happy with my English at all. I find my oral skills awful and I'm so shy when it comes to speaking with native speakers, especially when their French is great :') also, I would like to sound rather British but I've only met American people so far... I'm trying to take advantage of the quarantine to improve :)
