I think UConn's starting 5 to begin the season will be Kaitlyn, Paige, Ashlynn, Sarah, and Jana. KK will come off the bench for Kaitlyn. Azzi will eventually work her way into the starting lineup once she returns and I think Aubrey will play a big part in this team's success too once she's back.
@BobbyMick-c5b28 күн бұрын
If Uconn's 3 straight seasons of non-stop injuries finally ends this year, Geno's team certainly has plenty of talent for number 12, no doubt about it. They're young, so they first must gel and find their chemistry, but when they do.....lookout. A healthy Uconn spells trouble for everyone else..

I'm watching every UCLA game this season. Basically have a FIBA roster for a team.. Betts, Rice, Barker, Jones & Gardiner all played together in 2019 + Dudley, Aarnisalo, Leger-Walker and Dugalic have all played international ball at some point, it's absurd.

UCLA is so deep you didn't even have room to mention any of their top 5 recruiting class or their high school All-American from last year. They are seriously loaded. Watch out for the Finnish freshman Elina Aarnisalo, I saw her in the U20 EuroBasket, she is really good.

Dudley is solid and she played with Kiki at SF so they'll click right away on the court. Plus next year Laurens sister, Sienna is coming so there's another 6'4 big if Barker decides the W

@Moormores With Caitlin gone and the number 3 scorer in the country stepping in..in Lucy Olsen..I'm interested in seeing how her and Hannah Stulke can get on in carrying on Iowa..Hannah is superb.. out played Aalyah Edwards in a big game when I thought the reverse was going to be true.. Iowa State because that big girl is a baller..much like Alissa Pili..so yeah I'd watch it

Arizona - I'm hoping Jada Williams can take off this year. Texas - Harmon + Booker + Phelia should be interesting. Notre Dame - I feel like they're the most wild card team in the nation. How will a Hidalgo - Miles backcourt pan out? Kentucky - I want to see if Georgia can crack 20 PPG in her Why-Not Year. Also about TCU: is Jaden Owens' career over? I know she's been rehabbing the ACL, but is there any chance she sees the court for TCU again?
@HunterCruse1429 күн бұрын
I believe Owens is still recovering from injury. I’d suspect she goes overseas at some point. Also also agreed on these teams! Texas will rock, same with Notre Dame. Arizona and Kentucky could be interesting because of the top-end guard talent as well

Did you watch her this summer at the Olympics. Bronze medal winner. She was the best player statistically on the team and actually was on the All Medal round team. One of top 4 players. She may not succeed in the WNBA, but she's got grit and played her ass off in the Olympics. Earned my respect. Claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. Led Team USA in scoring (47, 5.2 ppg),, 2-point shooting percentage (53%, 8-15 2PT) and total assists (13).

I don't like to admit it, but I think Iowa will fade back into obscurity. Lisa Bluder saw this coming as well, so she retired. Their only hope is to have such a potent fan base that it attracts the highest-quality stars in the country.

Dumbest post I've read so far, a team with Lucy Olsen, Hannah Stuelke, and Syndey Affolter will fade into obscurity, right? 😅
@natureredux195728 күн бұрын
Next year they already have a 5 Star Recruit Sharpshooter with a Verbal Commit. Before CC even came to IOWA they were making the NCAA Tournament and doing decent. So Bluder retired because she is 63 and wanted give others a chance to coach. For Women's Basketball, literally anywhere in the Country a Team can make a name for itself with all the NIL money.
@PredatorKingdom28 күн бұрын
@@natureredux1957 Exactly, Iowa is going to stay competitive for many years and Lucy Olsen coming there is a sign that Iowa is going to become one of the elites of women's basketball. They've been competitive before going back to the Megan Gustafson days. People like that dude don't do their homework and want to talk like they know something when they don't.
@Moormores25 күн бұрын
I concur with your statement... Without the refs pushing certain clowns' narratives, this team would be like Creighton-a no-show!
@Moormores25 күн бұрын
I’m not sure why you have TCU in this lineup. If HVL wanted to be a great point guard, she should have trained under Dawn Staley. Instead, she left Louisville to go to LSU! HVL is trash, dude. She showed her true colors playing for LSU-you literally had a national title contender with that squad, but they couldn’t get it done because of HVL. Then HVL transfers to TCU? Why? Because she doesn’t want that kind of competition; she has no heart and will probably fade away like Iowa, Iowa State, and Creighton. Sometimes teams and players get lucky, and with the refs' help, you might be able to win national championships-well, it didn’t help Iowa. LOL.
