I’ve been journaling for many, many years, but discovering junk journals truly transformed how I document my life and memories! You played a huge part of that so thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration! 💕🥰

Cheryl, my story is the same. I still have all my journals from over 40 years. But they are mostly just writing... pages and pages of writing. Like you, junk journaling has transformed how I journal. Being a visual person, I feel like I don't just have to use words to express myself anymore. Like they say, a picture paints a thousand words. Johanna helped me understand I could make the transition and I just had to enjoy it. Perfection is HIGHLY overrated and sucks the joy out of what I'm doing. I just love this medium.

I've been following your channel since the smaller cat journal and Ive always felt like every new journal you make is more beautiful than the last, but seeing them like this I really feel like the first one where you made it with your own pattern papers is the most gorgeous one. I can't ever get enough of your papers, your art is absolutely stunning. I personally love working in a huge journal, my latest one is almost A4 in size, just a couple cm shorter and I love how the finished spreads look but sometimes it's challenging to fill a page because it's so much bigger than I'm used to. You're an absolute inspiration Johanna ❤️❤️

I liked seeing the transition of styles as you develop your skills. Your creative growth is wonderful, a valuable look and inspiration, for someone beginning to use junk journals, and discounting themselves. The mix of materials inspire me to be freer in my choices.

I have used a lot of your ideas and incorporated them into my own, and find your work quite inspiring. Thank you for taking us on a road down junk journal lane with you. Keep up the great work!

Your journals are fascinating to look at. I just wish I had done something similar in my life to look back on and revisit those memories. I think I have pinpointed what my problem has been about journaling...I need a larger size than the B6 I am using because I have to leave out some stuff I would rather leave in. Though I’ve never really made my own journal I can see that is something I need to get motivated to do. I will be looking back among your videos to find the “how-to” ones so I can later enjoy my own journals! Thanks Johanna!

Wonderful, beautiful and heart warming Johanna. Thankyou for sharing another video that I’ll be watching again and again. We’ve been extra busy recently and I wanted to wait until life settled a little to view it for the first time. This morning was right especially as I’d just added more to your vintage linen journal in the early hours. Loved every minute of both activities. Sending warmest wishes ❤️

so lovely and so true / authentic :D my journaling changed in only 2 years (summer 2019 to summer 2021) a looooooot - I began with a kind of Bullet Journaling, but with drawings in it, currently I am more junk journaling like you and finally I want to keep the best of both systems for me

And another thing... I can't wait for our charity shops to open here in the UK so I can try and find some old hand sewn doilies. We've been in lockdown since 31st Dec until today (12th April 21). Before everything shut down I went to a secondhand book and toy charity shop where I wanted to buy some very old hard backed books to use the pages and the binders to make junk journals. I was absolutely stunned at the cost!!!! they were more expensive than brand new books. Looks like the cereal box method then!! 😊😂
