Nice , work question, what is the measurement of the inside frame where that cross member is attache , From the Edge of the frame to The other side.

I don't know off hand but that shouldn't matter. You use three holes that are already there to mark and drill the others.

@mossman381 the reason I'm asking is because I'm using a fream from a 78 ramcharge base on what the guy toll me that is way I ask messument but I think they are the same

Is there enough clearance for a racing pan with a full length passenger side kick out?

Not sure. I have a big block chevy in the frame now. Don't really remember how tight it is. I don't think it is tight. The guys at OffRoad Design are good guys. Give them a call and ask.

After 11" from the front of the pan it's all clear. There is a good amount of room for a big block stock oil pan. I can stick my hand between the cross member and the stock oil pan.

@@mossman381 thanks, appreciate it! Looks like a nice build you got there, gonna be fun. I'm thinking about building a 850hp 535. With a 4.5" stroke it'll be nice to have the kickout down the passenger side to reduce windage. Would like to have a reverse mount starter so it's full length but that's pretty impractical so something similar to a STEF'S 1141-12.5 may be what I go with. If something like a Dan Olson ws427ak would fit, that'd be nice.

@@sc358. I can't say I know what all those parts are or what they look like. I just have a standard 427 big block in my truck. Not a lot of hp but should have decent torque for a daily driver. Wish I could be more help.

@@mossman381 all good. That thing will be plenty of fun for a daily driver and will have enough torque to pull a trailer with ease. You can always putta 100-150 shot (wet) to it 😅, with the compression and end gap they have, don't think that would be any problem so long as the timing was right. My dad had an 81 longbed on 35s with a stock 454, performer intake, edelbrock 600 carb and headers/exhaust when I was a kid growing up. It was fun, didn't have tons of power but was quick enough, sounded cool and towed well. You'll have a nice truck by the time you're done 👍
