80% GONE! *Ultimate* Beauty DECLUTTER - Getting Rid of My Beauty Blogger Makeup Collection For Good

The time has come! I'm putting beauty blogging to bed once and for all in this ultimate declutter series. I'm starting with base and I wanted to be detailed and show you EVERYTHING I'm keeping/tossing because I know how annoying it is to watch those sped up declutters to music. I know from this side why we do that, cause it's A LOT but since this is a bit of a farewell tour, I felt like it was worth taking the time to really say goodbye to what should amount to 80% + of this makeup collection that no longer serves me.
I'm hopeful that by the end of this process my mind will have shifted completely back to 'consumer' rather than 'reviewer' and I'm less inclined to pick up two colours of the same thing or automatically sort by 'newest' on the Boots website.

As a non make up wearer I’m fascinated and astonished at the amount of make that is needed. It’s not a judgement I’m just fascinated. Don’t get me wrong I collect plenty of other shit I don’t need just not make up. Well done for decluttering. I don’t imagine it was easy xx

Thx for making this and saying that you felt guilty showing the hourglass powder. I watched a great video by someone called conscious consumerism (I think) no-buy year week 24 makeup declutter. She literally brought out all products influenced to her KZbinrs. It was really a wake-up call and trip down memory lane.

Oh I can imagine!! It was so tricky to balance the pr stuff. Some things I would have purchased with my own money but once they were sent to me, it was frustrating that even if I’d given it away and repurchased it, I’d have had to say I’d received it and then the review is tainted. Even if you totally trust me, you still have that “but she WAS sent it for free” niggle 😂

oh, just had a MikhilaTALKS mix pop up at the top of my feed! Oh, need to try the LAcura concealer - i love the luminous foundation they have, and am currently trying out the Fenty foundation (good, but cheaper options just as good)

I love a declutter. I did another declutter last week and from my height of a full 7 plus 5 drawers units from ikea (I was influenced a lot when I was younger) I’m down to all my make up in 2 makeup bags. 1 for using and one with backups in it. I’m most impressed that I managed to part with Mac candy yum yum and heroine. Bright pink and purple lipsticks were me in my 20s. I can’t see myself wearing them now.

Recently i had stroke and since then ive reassured my life and boy did i have a lot . My daughter declutttered my whole house i was so anger with her but as time has gone all those things i dont miss it was clutter just surround by things i didn't use i even had clothes in the wardrobe that had tags on them 😅. Like you say there is only one of you choose a lipsticks you know your gone wear not 20 you think in the distance future you might 😂 . Im happier now with own having one draw of makeup 💄.

Whenever I do a clear out the Hourglass items never get binned.Neither do the Bareminerals.If I ever break a powder item I use a few drops of alcohol to mix it.Then flatten it into the pan.

I don't think it matters how much you keep as long as you like what you keep. The point is to get rid of stuff you won't use, if you want to use it you should keep it. I still have my blotterazi, it has been in my handbag since I bought it. I don't wash the sponges as often as I should but when they're looking grubby I take them out and put them through the washing machine.
