When did jingles start to die out? Somewhere around this time, perhaps. The TWA has a seventies-style chorus with an eighties drum machine. I love the seventies ads best, but the "futuristic" style of mid-80s "high tech" ads is really cool.

I love how there's a faint quick sound of someone saying "hurry" in the Ross commercial at the 6:47 mark. Other than that, another great commercial block from KCOP.

That TWA ad - epic! Except flying isn't like THAT anymore. I do like the jingle for Pete Ellis Dodge, followed by another LA staple, Federated!

6:00 Pete Ellis Dodge was also a popular jingle in the SF Bay Area as well. He had a dealership on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale near San Jose.

I don't remember the dealership but the same jingle was used in commercials from the Pittsburgh area for a long time.

Same thought owner of this awesome channel😅😅😅 As soon as I saw Nissan King Cab, my mind read it as "Nissan King Crab" 😅😅😅😅 but then again, in my Asian country there's an instant noodles brand called NISSIN, which sells instant noodles in pouch and in cups (just pour water, wait and enjoy)

That Pete Ellis Dodge jingle was very similar to a Westside Chevrolet advertisement in Houston. even had the kids singing and bouncing dot to the lyrics.
