Wow, thank you so much for sharing this! I sang lead and background vocals on the "Clearly Nestea" and "Foodtown" spots! What great memories for me to hear them again! :)

This is pretty fun to watch! Haven't seen too many of these where the person was changing channels while taping.

I like the channel flipping - it's really brings the experience to life, as if your there in the 80s, remote in hand.

Hey, the lady in the Kool-Aid ad is the mom from Small Wonder. Awesome!

Now I see a Threes Company ad from WNEW in New York, I never knew they also aired the original British series as well! COOL

I was looking all over for that Nestea commercial...

This is REALLY neat. I would do a lot of this type of videotaping in the 90s, just record whatever I could get, commercials, show endings, etc. As a result, I would have a lot of snippets and exactly what you would find here. Plus, these commercials are near-local from me in CT ( I would get the NYC stations ). Good stuff!

Wow...the Return of the Jedi glasses allows me to play the numbers? And how Erik Estrada is a French Toast? The best part of the channel changing is that you can make a new commercial out of it.

@80sCommercialVault I love this kind of stuff!! Not sure why, but I can't get enough of it!

The channel hopping is an interesting change (too bad 'bout the BK ad though lol). Plus! We see interesting tidbits normally lost or edited out from this era. :)

@GodsBurden I personally think this tape is one of the coolest, most unique things I've posted. And though these volumes will contain some channel changing, they still contain a ton of complete ads. It sucks that some people can be so picky about free, bi-weekly entertainment.

Also yes, CVS and Rite Aid were both East Coast fixtures long before their expansion(s) out west.

I actually rather liked this format. Just as you flip through channels now, it's nice to see flipping through channels from the 80s!

"pocket rocket" LOL We've had CVS here in the midwest for over 20 yrs. Wendy's served breakfast? I never knew that. I do remember the burger and potato bars, tho you could change channels while recording? i never tried that "It's as Tab as Tab can be!" I still use Prego all the time. it's the best jarred sauce

+80sCommercialVault i think the channel change idea was cool as heck! It gives me a sense of what I would've seen if I had traveled to the area in that era. I assume this is the New York metro area stations, right?

+Tyrone Thompson The tape was recorded in Hartford, Connecticut. There's a mix of stations from New York and Boston
