"Runaway" was an awesome, but underrated sci-fi action thriller with Tom Selleck, Cynthia Rhodes, Kirstie Alley & Gene Simmons. Along with "Starman" with Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. Great video as always!

In my middle school years, I had those same Lee jeans, Wranglers, Calvin Klein, Parachute pants, Levi Jeans 501 button fly and Ocean Pacific shirt. Jordache that they sold at Sanger Harris was too expensive but I wanted those pants.

That La Tigre jingle sounds like the bass line from Achy Breaky Heatr

It's a very common chord progression/bassline. Also, "Achy Breaky Heart" came out like, 7 years after these aired, so if anything that song resembles the La Tigre jingle.

One thing I can't stand about so many of these mid-80s, late 80s commercials is that outdated synthesizer drum machine and keyboard that so dominates. If only they could use actual musicians.

I prefer a more organic texture to music too, but what you're complaining about is essentially "the sound" of the 80's. BTW, keyboards don't play themselves and require "actual musicians"

Synth music, by and large, is pretty soulless, but every so often you get people like Vangelis and Tomita who can do some amazing stuff with it,
