Hey 30th anniversary. Merry Christmas and many many thanks for the super-happy memories videos!

That recliner commercial certainly sounds like he said "limited quality" instead of "limited quantity" and I have no doubts there

these commercials were so memorable

It's been many years now, but I still miss Eckerd. I'm sure many of us here in Florida miss them too. CVS replaced them here and it's no comparison.

Am I wrong in thinking...$700+ for a recliner is a lot to pay? Even in 2015? Yikes! RIP Eastern Airlines. I'll admit, I did try and make 'gravy' for my dog and it didn't work without Gravy Train. Thanks for these glimpses back in time, 80sCommercialVault!

Yeah, that's like a whole paycheck just for a place to park your butt.

Cool to see a bunch of Florida 80s commercials since I've lived here my entire life. I really wanted to see that sneak peek of the Living Seas :)

I wonder how long it will be before we get some comments here from the people who sent home Christmas wishes from the 1985 Walt Disney World Christmas Parade. Y'know, now that they can find the clip. :-)

Wow nostalgia overload. We would always watch the Disney World Christmas special every year. That was back when it was actually live. Now it's all taped weeks before.

Watched the Disney thing this morning on WEAR 3.

The Disney Christmas parade looked amazing! I worked at Rite Aid for years and remembered when they bought out Eckards. Now Rite Aid is pretty much obsolete too... Aww, I would have loved to see a baby killer whale at Sea World. Fotomat ushered in the era of customer loyalty programs. Now everyone has them...

Rite Aid is still a fairly large chain on the west coast at least. They took over all of the Thrifty/Payless chain of stores that were in California.

80sCommercialVault that’s good to know. I’m happy that they are still functioning in some capacity. They closed all the stores in Kentucky and Indiana about 2 years ago :/.

The promo for the Florida station uses music from the song "I love L.A." lol
@DanZero778 жыл бұрын
+PowerGlove79 That was ABC's theme/image campaign for 1985, based off the Randy Newman song. It was used nationally and some of ABC's stations also had their own versions.

Thanks for posting this. I grew up going to the Florida Panhandle and I have kinfolk in Mobile.

First the Charlie Chaplin impersonator from the last volume, now Laural and Hardy and the 3 Stooges. One of the reasons why us 80's gen. folk knew of them?

MERRY COMMERCIAL CHRISTMAS TO ALL

I don't remember there being a Supergirl movie. 17 years of internet have destroyed my ability to stomach the saccharineness of that last commercial.
Well, I guess I was only 2 when it came out, but I swear I've never seen it listed on TV.

I remember seeing Supergirl at the theater.

You think the old Supergirl was terrible....Have you seen the new version? Jesus.

2:02 doesn't Winnie the pooh's head look ridiculously huge compared to the rest of him?
@80sCommercialVault8 жыл бұрын
+Armand Deblois A lot of those Disneyland/WDW costumes were designed with weird proportions to hide the fact that there are people inside wearing them. I think the honeypot on the top of his head was where the person inside saw out of. Similar to the old seven dwarf costumes: i.imgur.com/9eqgD2d.jpg

Ok, I guess this makes up for the Pepsi Snowman from yesterday, one big ol' infomercial for Florida. The station name is neat too.

While Supergirl is a terrible movie,i prefer watching it over the CBS show.. "Shadow Chasers"-another short lived show..tried to be the X Files of the 80s lol
