That Levi's commercial was definitely ahead of its time. Really cool. Stands up today. Wonder who directed it.

12:01 - Gotta love commercials where a woman is talking to what seems to be some random person who is either standing in the shower with her, or watching her shower for some reason.

Interesting observation on that Levi's ad, around this time there would be lot of ads that would belong in the mid 80s, especially on MTV. Sadly for NBC, the Proud as a Peacock season didn't do all that well, there's even a parody of the jingle "We're Loud!" at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGnMlWalYqeDmK8 Finally, Buford on Walking Tall cleans up the environment his own way.... by taking out the trash!

The guy in the Schick Super II commercial is Christopher Mayor who about a year later went on to play Vance Duke, one of the replacement Duke boys on The Dukes of Hazzard.

On the Bic Shaver commercial, wasn't that the voiceover being done by legendary Rangers & Knicks broadcaster Marv Albert?

I wondered where that voice sounded familiar. It definitely does sound like him but I haven't found where he did those commercials.

Man, that Levi's commercial. It would have been sweet to hear Sting's voice come in and sing, "I want my Levi's jeans."

Funny seeing Patricia Richardson from "Home Improvement" in the Ruffles commercial. Was that Brian Bonsall from "Family Ties" in the Minute Maid commercial??

Brian Bonsall was not even alive when these aired: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Bonsall

She was one of my crushes when I was 5 watching Home Improvement repeats on CTV, but I wish that ABC should've had her wear a wig of the hair she had in that Ruffles ad for the flashback scenes of when she was having fun with Randy as a baby chasing him and giving him food.

The Burger King Magic Meal was discontinued after it was discovered it had direct ties to the black arts. ("Hey, kids, want to make raisins swim? Just sell your pitiful soul to all mighty Lord Satan, and prepare for eternal damnation!...Plus your choice of a burger, fries and soft drink!! Only at Burger King!!!")

Re the Bic ad: All those big NFL linemen and Giorgio Chinaglia, a soccer player. Which one doesn't fit? (Honestly, Giorgio's ego was probably bigger than all those other guys put together, anyway.)
