I grew up watching KVVU in the 80's. Always on the lookout for the old Valley Auto Upholstery commercials. Also crazy Willie from Nevada Pick A Part. Amazing what sticks with you from childhood. And I was shocked to find out that GMF motors was still scamming away until pretty recently. Ugh! Just wait until years later when he started bringing his kids on set.

ah fight back! I think the only segment I really remember was they challenged Levi's Jeans' claim that they could withstand being pulled apart by horses (as per the little patch) ... but it didn't end too well for them. :P)

DarkTetsuya I used to watch “Fight Back!” religiously as a kid (strange, I know). I remember that Levi’s test vividly. I also remember every challenge shown in that commercial...lol.

With all the money Vegas brings in every year, this is the most low budget ads in one place I've ever seen! From the uncontrollable laughter I experienced in the GMF Motors ad to the WTF right in the feels moment I had on the Intercept Program ad.... BTW.... TV5 Movie bumpers featured the music from the famous Big Bill Hell's Cars video... Deadlines from the Killer Tracks production music library!

Vegas local here, though I didn’t get here until 1992. This is still an awesome time capsule to see, though. Pretty much none of these businesses exist anymore. GMF Motors, in particular, closed down quite some time ago. Fred Fayegi, the owner, was apparently up to some shady stuff. The empty lot sat there on Boulder Highway for years.

LA Street Clothing appears to still be in the same location. Las Vegas is a city in a state of constant ebb and flow, and it's been 30 years. Even the Paddlewheel Casino here changed its name and ownership three times over the years before being demolished in 2015.

My friend and I rented Where Did I Come From from Blockbuster circa 1999… it was hilariously awful.
