I remember this time when they first aired Superman on tv . Coming back to school it was all my class mates could talk about. Man, how times have changed. If it was a favorite movie, you had to wait till it aired on tv. We never even got a vcr until ‘86. We truly treasured these moments.

I miss this idyllic time. Star Wars had not yet completed, as we knew it then anyway and playing with the toys wasn't limited by the knowledge of the conclusion. It was about a year before we got cable with HBO and Cinemax (where I would later see "Cannery Row"), and MTV so I was still seeing network shows like "The Fall Guy" and "Hart to Hart." I remember getting Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" album.

Exactly.Last week I got a Pan Pizza, and it was......disappointing.I ate maybe 2-3 slices, and just let the rest sit and go bad.The bean counters took over a long time ago, cutting corners, lowering quality and making up for the lost customers by flashy ads that bring the kids in who don't know what good pizza tastes like.

If some of these are the same commercials, I’m not sure I want to risk repeating the same jokes. Although, I don’t remember saying, “Dang, Rene Russo”. - I guess I might as well mention that I remember that GE soft bulb commercial airing a lot. That is underrated when mentioning good commercials like that. - I’d hate to think what else OJ would be dreaming about. -Sigh. Permission granted in indulging, but only for about 30 seconds. “Sand, or the 80’s...”? Really?

2 - I actually have (had at one point) all the depicted games in that ad (The 4-switch console I got at an earlier yard sale has since gone crazy. But not the six-switch, from a later yard sale, with the included Paddles and both Super Breakout and Asteroids, and others)

I got my console later that year and it included Combat and Super Breakout, joysticks and paddles. It was still called the "Atari Video Computer System" and not yet the Atari 2600.
