I find it interesting that Disneyland used to have a 50's throwback celebration, and now they have an 80's throwback celebration

It's nice seeing something that was on in the background when I was around six, but haven't seen it since. I guess it reminds me of my childhood with my family and stuff.

That guy in the E.T. costume at 6:34 needs to team up with that "strangling" Garfield from 80s Volume 755 to create the ultimate nightmare fuel.

29 - Eddie the Eagle was the first British competitor since 1928 in the Winter Olympics Ski Jump. He finished in last place in both events by a not-inconsiderable margin, but was very popular with the crowd and TV audience. There was a movie made about him a few years ago.

I never would have guessed that the guy at 10:19 was attempting to portray somebody British. It seemed more like a bad Jack Benny impression.

I like the whistled tune in the Old Spice commercial. It’s pretty catchy.

Gotta love it when Burger King offers Whopper deals like this one back then. Nowadays you can sometimes find buy one, get one free Whopper coupons in the mail, & it's either by themselves or a meal for two. Also, I won't lie but that Isotoner Pantyhose commercial was pretty sexy. Those high kicks & split jumps though

5:29 - Something tells me this woman did not last long at this job, especially when she started kicking up sheets of paper at 5:36.

I miss Safeway, the one in my town is now an Asda (UK Walmart).

Still plenty of Safeways out here. I miss the non-Walmart grocery stores where you could rent movies (VHS) and get a haircut.

All the things I could mention, and the one thing that stood out to me... Giants vs A's? Were they in the same league then? I'll look it up. Edit: sorry 1989 WS, my bad 😁
@80sCommercialVault4 жыл бұрын
A's = American League, Giants = National League. The game advertised here was a spring training game played in Scottsdale, AZ. The regular season didn't start until April.

@@80sCommercialVault oh, spring training... that makes sense. You're right, spring training interleague games have always been around.
