I forgot how many products Garfield hawked back in the day. From credit cards to hotels, that cat sponsored just about everything Jim Davis could put his image on.

4:41- This is one of the most wholesome ads I’ve ever seen. You don’t see heartwarming commercials like this anymore. Great set as always! These segments are like mini-vacations and make me nostalgic for a time that I wished that I would have gotten to experience firsthand.

I always enjoy watching these old commercials, especially when so many commercials now a days tend to suck. Brings a huge smile to my face. Thanks for keeping these nostalgic commercials alive. ^-^

Jack In The Box- The large burger falling on that man's car at 3:32 reminds me of a scene similar to that in the Nickelodeon Movie, "Good Burger", where the large burger from the "Mondo Burger"'s restaurant sign falls on a man's car.

Seafood at jack in the Box... I am sure that was peak freshness.

These aired on Saturday, March 2, 1985. Diana Ross special was at 8 PM; "The Black Windmill" aired Sunday, 3/3/85 at 6 PM. As for "The Dungeonmaster" release, it looks like it released in the San Francisco area in March while other markets got earlier releases.

Thanks. It's definitely possible that for such a small budget film released by a small distribution arm like Empire Pictures, "The Dungeonmaster" didn't have a traditional wide release, and was distributed sporadically across the country.

My older brothers were huge into Dungeons and Dragons at the time, so I remember they were excited to see The Dungeonmaster. They came home saying it was the worst movie they ever saw. Never saw it myself, but they hold that and Highlander 2: The Quickening as the worst films.

It was reviewed on Redlettermedia's Best Of The Worst about a year ago and they definitely thought it was flawed but had a charm to it and unanimously voted it as best of the worst. kzbin.info/www/bejne/roGvp6R9Z8aXitk If your brothers went in expecting a "real" movie about D&D I could imagine how they would come home disappointed but there are definitely worse movies out there.

Chevy Cavalier-..??? The Black Windmill-sounds like a location where Ash goes to retrieve the Book Of The Dead Diana Ross: For One And For All-had that special on tape Jack In The Box-was expecting Godzilla to walk by in the background Anne Klein II -"So..what happened to Anne Klein I..?" Sony Trinitron XBR-would make a good weapon in a GI Joe episode(Destro:"Fire the Trinitron!!!") The Dungeonmaster-one of those segments was originally going to be a sequel of sorts to "Metalstorm:The Destruction Of Jared-Syn"(which also co-starred Moll) Patio Burritos-still around today..and taste the same

The Diane Keaton line made me spit out my drink! But seriously, even if you are wearing Anne Klein, and even if you successfully guess someone is asking about that, what human would actually say "Anne Klein II"?

3:09 - Quite brave of them to build a restaurant in the middle of a war zone, let alone to eat there.

Two comments 1. I wonder if the Jack in the Box ad was part of the effort to position themselves as a more upscale fast-food place (culminating later that year in the ill-fated Monterey Jack's rebrand) 2. Joel Hyatt of Hyatt Legal Services was also the son-in-law of then-Ohio Sen. Howard Metzenbaum, and was the Democratic nominee to succeed his father-in-law when Metzenbaum announced his retirement in 1994, only to lose in the general election to Republican challenger (and current Governor) Mike DeWine.
