I serviced vanilla Ice’s car at champion back in the early 90’s. Car was a cab and had the ruf btr engine in it. Was one of the loudest street cars I’ve been around. It had white carpet under the bonnet and it used to blow out hood shocks front and rear.

I was a valet at The Chart House in Coconut Grove in the early 90's. One night Vanilla Ice pulled in with his Gemballa. I still remember the sound. At idle the car sounded like an off shore speedboat. So over the top. He gave me $20. Best tip I ever got. Very nice guy.

Someone once described 'cool', as "something that expends zero time or energy defining itself". Amazing how good it looks; it's like it exists in its own dimension, where our rules of style, fashion and taste don't exist. It just bypasses all that.

However; I respect his music now and enjoy it for what it is.
