Interior color is called magenta. Its period color used in 928, 964 and 968. At the time on each model year Porsche had about six different interior colors available in standard color chart that they made interior leather and carpet parts in. This includes steering wheel and airbag on it. Leather in that steering wheel looks exactly how magenta looks after 30 years. I bet its original for the car or at least it matches rest of the stock interior parts perfectly. Had 928 GTS with full magenta interior including wheel and airbag. Wheel on it was and still is polished to shine exacly like that due to wear over the years. Friend owns it now and wheel is still original.

Holy Shit!!! Loved the video Dino! Amazing! Love it all. One question. Maybe you need to ask the guy at the workshop, but I'm curious about those seriously overstretched tires at high speed. 265 on 12"??? shit, I'd put 325 on that width. Is that safe? How does it handle? I couldn't imagine doing 320kph on that kind of overstretch... I'm about to put 325's on my turbo Merc, and this is a very relevant question... I just feel that at those speeds I'd rather have the extra few centimetres attached to the ground.
@dino_dc4 ай бұрын
Hey thanks! Are the rear stock rims 12J?
@carbonf404 ай бұрын
@@dino_dc stock rims are either 9.5J or 10J on the rear, and they put 265's on those. So a 50mm overstretch is pretty serious stuff! Tire manufacturers don't recommend overstretching, as it can make the centre of the tire dish in. That's why I'm wondering how that thing handles at speed, considering he may be losing a significant amount of contact due to reduced pressure in the centre of the contact patch.

It’s nice to see a 964 like that. By the way Dino, regarding your yellow 964 what are your plans regarding that? Do you still plan to convert it to a manual transmission at some point? Also, regarding the Yoshida specials 930 that you feature on speedhunters 8 years ago, does that car still be used on street driving today? By the way nice content as always.
@dino_dc4 ай бұрын
