Thank you for sharing. My 80 had issues stopping. Come to find out, each front caliper had 2 of 4 pistons frozen due to rust. I rebuilt both with new toyota parts and now working on the back calipers. Looking forward to seeing your next post.

No problem! Caliper pistons are often overlooked for braking issues!

I still need to do all that on mine 😢😂😅

Merry Christmas and happy new year! Good work takes time and effort. I’ve got the Slee brake lines, 3 extended axle ones. Have not installed yet, would love to see a vid about installing them. Read on Mud that the flare ends may not want to mate up perfectly. Might have to clearance the tips with abrasive paper. I got the flare wrenches and dot 3. Trying to find the short caliper lines currently. Installed new front rotors, calipers, rears were functional. Brakes are decent…LSPV…just bled it till clear fluid. I can still read 1995 on my Oem lines! No leaks bubbles or cracks, but wont be going up to the big mountains until replacement. 👍🏽

Merry Christmas! I think I got pretty lucky and didn't need to mess with the flares for the lines, but I have seen that issue quite a bit before. If you do end up having to do that for your flares I would probably use a Dremel tool with an abrasive wheel. Check out @toyotatechnical on Instagram, he just did a post about it not too long ago that was very well explained.

Merry Christmas!!! So did all of that work change the braking? Inquiring minds want to know. 😁 The 80 brakes are the weak link for sure.

Merry Christmas! All these things did significantly improve breaking, so I'm not sure which had the most effect, I'm guessing new pads/rotors and fluid. I can actually lock the brakes up now where as before there was no chance 😂.

If you have a lift then you'll also need to adjust (at the diff) the height of the rod/lever that extends from the LSPV to the rear diff to regain your rear braking pressure.

Yeah that was the last thing I did before bleeding, although I tested the old one and basically forced it into the position that allows flow to the rear and I got nothing lol. This one seems to be working so far, but in all honesty I might end up putting a manual proportioning valve and adjust bias myself lol.

Good stuff. Curious what kind of results you get as everything I've read states improved braking when eliminating the LSPV.@@motor.mausGarage

I'll let you know, I'll probably do a follow-up video on it!
