Right there with ya. Only the in dash pair and sub left to go.

I’m working on a replacing the center council subwoofer right now, I’m actually replacing the whole enclosure with a 5.5inch subwoofer with two passive radiators, working on that video but it’s taking me for ever to complete because I have brand new twins lol

thanks for posting this video this helped me a lot to replace my speakers that were totality dry rotted. i replaced the factory radio with a modern Atoto F7 and hoping will re-purpose the factory sub with a 8" in the future.

Yes for sure, I’m glad it helped you, it’s alway nice to see that people get value from the videos I post, i just posted one for a aftermarket JVC head unit however my next video will be of a really cool subwoofer install and factory amp replacement I did on my truck, I should have it out in the next week or two, I’m working on producing better videos but it’s a learning curve and takes a while lol

I'm updating the speakers in the car as well as a new touch stereo. The question is, do I need to by pass the amp as some indicate in forums or can I just rewire speakers and receiver?
@carsnstuff60228 ай бұрын
so there are 3 choices, you can use the factory AMP, I don't recommend that option because you might get a humming sound, you can bypass the amp and wire the speakers directly to your new head unit or you can replace the factory amp with a aftermarket amp which will also delete your center subwoofer, easiest option is wire your speakers directly to the head unit and you won't get that humming sound.

I have a question. Have those self tapping screws vibrated loose or are they still tight in the door
@carsnstuff60224 ай бұрын
@@Nexed.A87 yeah they’re still holding up great!! Not sure if that would still be the case on a much more powerful speaker
@Nexed.A874 ай бұрын
@carsnstuff6022 so you only used the screws? Any fasteners? I'm currently changing my son's and just wanted to know
@carsnstuff60224 ай бұрын
@@Nexed.A87 yes only the screws and the spacer, you can also line the spacer or the speaker flange in double sided 3M foam tape if you’re worried, it’ll hold plus seal so it will improve sound as well

I bet it sounds a lot better. If I'm not mistaken, your Lexus has a subwoofer in the center console, doesn't it?
@carsnstuff6022 Жыл бұрын
yes it does, I don't need a ton of bass but I want a bit more, I'm still undecided on which route I'm going to take to upgrade that but for now replacing those speakers made a huge difference in the quality of sound, and the final fit and finish came out great just like OEM which is what I was going for.

What the speaker in the first shot passenger side under the airbag?
@carsnstuff6022 Жыл бұрын
so the first set of speakers are the front door speakers and the second smaller speakers are the rear door speakers
@theos6457 Жыл бұрын
Right but the one under the glove box?
@carsnstuff6022 Жыл бұрын
@@theos6457 yeah so the LX450 has some speaker on the dashboard one on each side, o haven’t messed with them yet but I believe they are 2.5” I don’t believe the Landcruiser has them although some models have some in the headliner in the back
