Very nice. I love how the catamaran design provides such a wide beam. And, I think you're right, Alex. I predict we're going to see many new yachts over the next ten-twenty years where designers take advantage of the dimensions offered, creating deck plans we've never seen before. I think we'll also see yards who've never considered multi-hull give it a try. Some will succeed. Some won't. It will certainly be fun to see what they produce. And you will sell them to us.

Galley down is not actually a positive for me. Why would I want to have to haul food up a flight of stairs to get to the dining area? It would be a better use to have galley up and that space available down for an extra cabin, kids play area in bad weather, theatre ... It is also lacking in a direct from salon access to the upper level. With the glass roof up top the cleaning of the top is harder, you have to work extra to keep that glass clean so it doesn't look bad when using the upper deck. I also find I prefer the warmth of a wood interior over the cold, heartless, modern look.

Whenever I watch these kind of videos I'm always like "damn this is great, I would love to own this" but then as soon as I see the crew area I am being reminded that there is no way you as the owner can operate this thing on your own. And the thought of having strangers (the crew) on my boat is really offputting to me. Guess after all I'm not the right person to own a yacht lol.
@howardtaylor24053 жыл бұрын
The crew on this yacht definitely become part of the cruise as they have no personal space to speak of. You have to know and like the people who work this boat with you if you are going on an overnight.
@rohncarver35853 жыл бұрын
I'm fairly certain you can get a setup in where you can operate it yourself, just requires the ability to know how to conduct repairs on the engine electrical system pump systems and generalized maintenance for the overall vessel. if you have enough of your life ahead of you I recommend going to a trade school for 3 to 5 years where you could learn all of the aforementioned in a short amount of time. BCT "Building Construction Technology" would cover a lot, then you could do plumbing and welding if you go for a catamaran made from aluminum which would allow you to mig or tig weld any holes or areas that would require repair or replacement. this is what I plan on doing for my future. though I plan on specializing in welding with stick unlimited which is the ability to weld with metals at 1 inch in thickness and greater.
@darthkek19532 жыл бұрын

If you were to end up in a storm you would most likely be sitting in one spot so a sharp corner would not harm you.

@@alexclarke1416 No it doesn't....no one wants to spend $7mm on a CAT and then decides to sell it is less than 60 days and more than likely taking a $1mm loss.
@alexclarke14164 жыл бұрын
@@michaelm3986 you would be surprised how common this is....has happened to clients of mine about half a dozen times in recent years. For example I have a 2019 40m Sunseeker for sale that we put up for sale less than 3 months after the owner took delivery. What is uncommon is how fast we sold ARIA as she was under contract after being on the market for a month......sales cycles are normally longer (like with the Sunseeker which is still for sale)

Lovely design ... what would the substitution of electric stern drives and diesel generators add I wonder? Also, did the designers do any thinking about carbon fibre masts and micro-sails - as an aid rather than a primary drive? The masts might telescope as well? Just having fun with it really...

client wanted nice neutral colors knowing that the ocean or remote locations with aqua water will compliment it. I am sure they will add personal art work or pops of color throughout. Remember the owner hasn't added any personal touches yet as it was just delivered.

Maybe the owner decided to go larger, and since it takes some time to sell yachts they can still use it while on the market, I think it was KZbinr eSysman that was talking about this, he works on yachts but also dock walks while giving info on his channel.

Love the power cats. I definitely think these are the future. Love the metallic bronze. I think I’d like a metallic gold. Love the layout. The range is perfect for a life in the Caribbean which is exactly where I’d be. I wonder if 80 is enough? May need to spring for that 150 range! Yearly costs always have to consider the yearly costs... not outlandish at this range for this cost at all.

@@alexclarke1416 I've decided that I'm more of a galley down person for the catamaran because when I'm considering the chef, I feel like they'd perform better in their own space not in view of every other person on board. The only thing is I don't like the space in the galley down scenario. I don't really like the storage under the floor option. I feel like I'd need to extend that whole hull to be the galley which probably wouldn't make much sense. I dunno, just not a true fan of the galley up on cats so far.
