My elder neighbors got sick then the husband passed away at 90 years old. He always took such pride in keeping his yard up (with his zero turn mower) even though it took him 3 days to mow his 1 acre yard. I kept it mown all last summer with my rider. I catch a lot of grief from people asking why on earth I am mowing it for free... because it's in honor of he and his wife. I can't stand to see it get out of hand when he always took such pride in it. It's an honor to me to be able to help his wife.

After watching this I came out with 4 takeaways: 1) You Sir are a Saint and we need so many more like you in the world! 🙏 2) Your lawnmower took a beating...I can't believe it survived any of this! 💪 3) You removed that man's prison walls that were slowly closing in around him. What a truly generous act. ❤ 4) I'll bet that once you were done, the inside of his home saw more light than it had in decades. With everything removed away from the outside of the windows, the ability for light to shine through and once again brighten his days had to have been emotional for him. 🥰 Thank you for being such a wonderful example of what it means to be a good neighbor, a productive member of society and a humanitarian. I fear for future generations but right now, it's people like yourself that are the true heroes as there is no greater act than a selfless one. God bless you.

As an elder myself, I can't even begin to tell you just how much you changed this man's life, Sean. His whole world slowly got smaller and smaller, and as you age, I can tell you, it's not a great ride. When all the things you loved to do slowly fade out of your life, it becomes more and more difficult to ask for help, because you don't have the money to pay for that help! It's one thing to ask friends occasionally, but yard work is monthly maintenance, which only rich retirees can afford. Most of us are on very limited, fixed income where this kind of maintenance is a luxury, and I'd rather pay my electric bill than mow my lawn. You, Sean, are an angel for elders in your community. Thank you from an elder living on the central Oregon coast.

Oh yes! As an older lady, who has had to maintain my own little piece of property for years, I’m seeing now, slowly but surly it’s getting more difficult to do myself as time goes on. It’s very sad and hurts your pride and self worth. But, you keep on as long as you can. Seeing hard working and giving people like this paying it forward, is a beautiful thing! This is among my top three favorite lawn care channels on KZbin now. Awesome job!

Roe the more I watch of these yard transformations the more upset I get with elderly parents children neighbors and churches that don’t look after their elderly parents and churches that don’t help their elderly members. I think the one that upset me most was there was this one kind gentleman that was mowing a yard and when he got to the back yard he was smelling a really bad smell and noticed the back windows were up and called 911 . When law enforcement came they found a 91 year old mother that had been dead for a week. Most children don’t take time to look after their elderly parents, churches don’t look after their elderly members. That a 91 year old mother would lie dead for a week without anyone knowing is unreal and tragic. People used to care but they don’t anymore. Well I have been a blessed mother. When my husband died my children were there so much and even took care it my 93 year old mothers yard. It’s a sad world we’re living in today.

Loving memories of children playing there, Easter egg hunts, BBQs looking out the windows watching kids play and grow. time passes and weeds grow, Sadness takes over and helps the grass to over grow as well as trees. And thanks for touching all of who watched and who understood it was not just about cutting grass giving life back to the gentleman. .

That was one of the most epic yard transformations I have seen on KZbin. You were god sent to this elderly man and I am sure he loved all you did for him. Great job👏👍

Somehow I missed this one ;( It was fantastic. You could tell at one time that yard was amazing and well loved. Thank you so much for giving a new beginning. What you do is more than yard care, it is giving back to the people that live in these places what they worked so hard to create. Keep up the good work kiddo. Hope this finds you and yours happy and healthy.

I watched these the first time through, but I just had to watch it again as it is unbelievable! SO much work went into this, including all the video editing. You are a paragon of kindess, understanding and outstanding work ethic. I remember from the first showing that you even took time to chat with the owner. You didn't have to do any of this, but you did it all anyway (and with the help of your friends). May you receive goodness right back to you tenfold.

The last household task my grandfather gave up to me to take over was lawnmowing. He had such pride in keeping his lawn nicely maintained. I ended up learning from videos like this one on how to take care of a lawn. I'd only ever used a ride-on as a child. Nowdays I can do a pretty tidy edge with a whipper-snipper.

Number and variety of plants, curbing, and walkways make it clear this was once a beautifully landscaped yard. Thanks for bringing it back from sad overgrowth!
