Just got an old 97, can't wait to rebuild it this winter, it's got leaky forks, a busted radiator, rusted pipe, leaks gas from the carb, and a stripped subframe. I swear problems keep stacking up on that thing. It also starts first kick every single time, even with a completely messed up carb.

@@probro1116 Rm85 for £900 which is around $1100/1200 and I sprayed the rims, bout new plastics graphics for £250/ $300 and got frame powder coated which I don’t know how much it cost. Cleaned up the engine and other parts, got engine rebuild for £300/ $400

I wish I could do something like this I want a good bike but can’t afford it at the moment my parents are financially struggling at the moment and I have to work to get money and help out my family but sometime this Christmas I should be able to sale my bike and get a bigger bike I can ride, right now I ride a crf125 and I’m looking to get a crf150r expert. To pay someone for a rebuilt engine, including labour it’s usually about 700$ USD for a two stroke. Than you have to look at what new parts you need such as bushing / bearings, rims and tires, exhaust system if the current one is badly damaged, etc. Usually for a basic bike build you are looking at 1500-2500 USD not including the initial cost of the bike

Max Lancaster the engine is the only thing I said you would pay someone for. If you are a beginner you probably don’t want to dive straight into engine rebuilds. You don’t really save much money doing it that way. I have built several bikes and a lot of the time you end up spending more money with clapped bikes

Chad Hasty Cameron Niemela did way more to his bike and that’s why it cost more, im sure he spent a little more than $800 because he just got OEM parts and restyled it. Basically a full engine rebuild and new plastics and front forks
