Mike's golf cart is badass. I was thinking about offering to race you guys with my 1000cc golf cart but my suspension is from a Banshee and it would be the hindering factor for sure. I was planning on building the long travel setup this summer but life started changing and I'm moving so it's going to get stored with a friend for now.

damn that adapter is awesome. better than machining the secondary for the sled belt
@ROTAXD5 жыл бұрын
stephen s machining the driven clutch (socondary) would have been useless with that much torque & hp going through it. The helix would likely shatter & there’s no spring (either honda oe or aftermarket) that would work well. As soon as the drive clutch enguaged, the driven would open/shift out. With the polaris setup, they can play with custom/multi angle helixes & different springs to get the shift point where they want it & keep the motor in the powerband.
@shifty19275 жыл бұрын
@@ROTAXD I've machined about 6 for my 670ho swaps (guessing by the name u know what that is) . if u go by what power level parts are supposed to hold then the fnr trans is useless too. lol years beating on both.
@MattySlice215 жыл бұрын
@@shifty1927 run the stock secondary on my pilot with a 700 swap. No issues yet!
@shifty19275 жыл бұрын
@@MattySlice21 I feel like the trans or axles are going to go b4 the secondary . also not going hard on pavement and most importantly letting off mid air. my cousin broke his trans case right in half from staying full throttle on a jump. lesson learned cause them gear boxes were hard to find in like 2011 2012ish can't imagine now.
@MattySlice215 жыл бұрын
@@shifty1927 yeah the oddeyseys don't have that slipper clutch like the pilots do. I beat the hell out of mine and haven't had issues. But this build they have going makes more or equal power to my 700. I feel like they might explode that transmission. I hope not though!

Just a little FYI guys I am betting that pull rope is going to be cutting a Groove into that plastic tank. Every time you pull on that rope it's going to cut into that plastic tank and next thing you know you're going to have a hole in it keep an eye on it the best thing that I could think you could do is get a piece of sheet metal and wrap it around that plastic tank and make sure that it is a smooth transition around that corner because then it will start cutting into your rope and it will cut the rope. I think you got enough common sense to know what I'm talkin about. Looking good guys can't wait to see that thing scream. And yes you are one of my favorite channels out of all of them you build the most badass!!!

Why not create a mount on the outside of the pully with a recessed bearing to support it at its weakest point? Yes the mount would need to be quick release for belt changes but would be much stronger. Either way, keep on building, always fun to watch you guys hack things together.
