i have been so patiently waiting all this time for another english video! i am building a redblock b230 as my first engine for the first time ever. your videos are the most valuable resource to me so far! the most helpful video by a mile would be a video specifically talking about the 8v head in english. i got the block almost ready (will buy a girdle plate file now too!) but anything about the cylinder head is still very vague for me! so if you are looking for suggestions, that would be ti. thank you so much for the effort of making these videos in english!

What is your thoughts on running arp rod bolts without washers? Why or why not? Do you baffle your oil pans? Also why and why not? What is the most commons reason(s) for a b230 to break internally? Would be nice to have a video specialized on b230 dos and donts in your opinions ;) also a shop tour would be fun to see! Like all of it!

Early engines is not the best because of the poorly thrust bearing at the crank, otherwise the cylinders should be the same as the newer blocks

How do you feel about sleeving the bores and go with a slightly smaller diameter? And what kind of sleeves would you use? A tough and elastic steel like gun barrels or something harder or softer?

That's a know way to make this engines more durable. 94mm bore is one size i know has been built.

We use the base from kl-racing for this build. Plenum is free of the customers own fantasy. But probably the matching plenum from kl-racing

There are different stages of builds that's suites this o-ring. Technically you can use them to 700hp. But Much better and easier to buy a athena cut ring gasket

Do a video on gearboxes. What actual power volvo boxes m47 m90 etc. hold. What gearbox will be used for this 800hp engine ? Or maybe there is forum/blog post with this info ?

We only use bmw gearbox here in sweden. Volvos m90 is suitable for lighter cars up to 600hp. But after driving alot of bmw gearboxes and recently an 8hp, im impressed with the 8hp auto trans

Stateside, I'm thinking TKX or CD009. Across the pond is littered with manual BMW transmissions and we don't have a lot of aftermarket support for them.

If you could be so kind to share what your thoughts are on a twincharged B23 16v? The 16v has stainless valves, stock size. RSI (Wiseco) 4v pistons 96.5mm and H-beam rods. Mercedes M62 clutched supercharger and Holset HX35 for twin charging. You said in a comment below that bringing on boost early is good, could you share how best to support this? I'll wait for your girdle file as well 👌🏾

I have run 1200hp on a cement filled block. Only for dragracing. But i will say for street use with todays good turbos building a lot of boost early in rpm, 800hp is the maximum without cylinder enforcing

Thank you for the share, thank you for speaking english and thank you to propose the girdle datasheet. From which power or torque output do you think that girdle is recommended ? How much power output stock pistons (malhe 9.3:1 as on B230FB) can withstand ? I noticed on some tunes I made the spark plugs readings indicates kind of lean mixture despite the lambda reading is in the ballpark... Is it something known with these engines ? Maybe due to the colossal 96mm bore size ?

B23 and b21 has forged crank, but weak engine blocks

Excuse me, can you help me? I own a redblock M47 and I was wondering how much torque or hp it would take... Do you have experience on this topic? The internet is conflicted about this and I think about going for a GS6 swap... Will the M47 last at 200 HP? I do cavalier starts from a green light sometimes...
