What's the hardware that is attached to the light itself? Where did you buy that?

How do you hide the cords? I’m in the process of ordering the materials I need. I got a framed 180g tank with 3 Atlantik Compacts. I have drawing I made inspired by Joe’s reef.

Man watching you work that 8020 stuff makes me really want to build a stand out of it. My biggest worry was drilling, tapping, recessed holes, etc that 8020.net charges like 2 bucks a pop to do, but looks fairly straight forward for how easy it is to do.

Yes, they do charge a bit for machining, but the counter bore ends and hardware are so strong, for the main stand it’s worth it,

Oh I do understand the need for strength, just seems like something I can do myself with my own drill press when they're charging 2 plus bucks a pop just to drill a counter sunk hole, plus they also charge nearly $2 for each cut, again buy a long length of it and put it on the chopsaw myself. The end tapping however is something I might not quite be comfortable with.

If you can cut the material you can tap it. Tapping isn’t hard, just make sure you use a lubricant, don’t bend the tap. Let the tap cut the material. Aluminum is one of the easier materials to tap.
