Good evening, Luke! This issue is my cup of tea! Beautiful stories, unknown facts... I never opened J. Lennon this way. Jon Stewart is a great story-teller. Best wishes for him! I hope to see him once again on your podcast.

THIS INTERVIEW WITH JOHN sTEWART 🙌 is a rare treat; I have had occasion to discuss a small sliver of his writing with John, and from a specific Canadian 🇨🇦 🍁 😀 context; John's BRILLIANCE!, is surpassed only by his humility! What a truly rare and compelling English musical AND literary talent you have here, folks! WE e specifically discussed the great Canadian artist, NEIL YOUNG!, snd the specific FASCINATIon and reverence which Dylan, from Minnesota, U.S.A., h e ld for the iconic Canadian Poet, Artist, and Musician from "just down the road" in Winnipeg, MANITOBA Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️ ! I DIGRESS! JON STEWART'S WORK! is a highly under-appreciated synthesis of the Cultural! Musical! PoliticaL, AS well as Spiritual a d Economic currents underlying an entire generation, which ser Ed as THE PIVOT POINT for perhaps the most important POST WAR DECADE in the Western World! You PARTIALLY! GA e John his due! Not s bad start. Carryon!

About political attitude of Bob Dylan, in Brazil during dictatorship and a harsh censorship in 1964, we had an example similar to him, Elis Regina was a singer who had some lyrics very political against the dictatorship, however full of metaphors that were very difficult for the military to understand, in this way she didn't suffer any censorship or torture like other artists.

I just downoled thee audios in your podcast audio and those are the escaped man , the suprsing power of reading aulod and your new year ramble and i listen to them evryday , CAN I LEARN ENGLISH BY THOSE EPISODES PLEASE LUKE ANSER MY QUESION
@LukesEnglishPodcast Жыл бұрын
Yes, but not just those three episodes alone. To learn properly you need to do many hours of listening and you need to be interested in what you are listening to. You should also read a lot and then practise speaking too. Some controlled practise of grammar and pronunciation would also be a good idea. Learning a language is not something you can do in just three steps. It’s like physical fitness - you have to keep exercising and pushing yourself regularly, long-term. Good luck, you can do it.
