80cc Panama Jack Cruiser Motorized Bike

Found the bike at a garage sale with original tags and stickers on it. I couldn't pass it up... I just had to motorize it. Someone will love it!

This bike looks essentially the same as a Nel Lusso bike from WalMart. Be very cautious with these, as they usually have a great deal of surface rust on a lot of the parts, including the bike seat stand, handlebars and where various nuts and bolts are attached. I guess it is because they store them up on racks and their damn roof leaks or something. I got one and it has been a real challenge in dealing with, although it looks cool. I removed the rear rack to put on a Lock N' Load friction-drive there at the back wheel. I dumped the silly Huffy medallion and removed the plate there at the frame. You have to grind off the nubs where that plate attached in order to add in the regular gas tank. I see you went with the back gas tank, which is easier to do than putting on the regular one. I removed the fenders and will be doing some other modes prior to wrapping up the build. Your bike looks good. Me, I am not finished on my own, but it sure would have been easier to piddle with a Cranbrook or such than a Nel Lusso, I believe.

Lighter than the nel lusso and stronger than the Cranbrook i would op out of that rear mount tank it changes the seat height and if u rest it on bike rack its going to crack for sure speaking from experience

Any Issues with the frame over time? I know those Panama Jack bikes have aluminum frames opposed to the steel ones you see on most Huffy Cruisers.

I love ! I just got the same bike. I love it except I have to do the walk of shame up hill. May I ask where you got the motor? How much was it?

I'm about to purchase a Huffy-Panama Jack 80cc Motorized Bicycle, it looks very similar to yours expect color, I was wondering if you had any experiences with the law and any tips for me not to get pulled over, going to both my jobs back n forth, if I ride 15mph or less I feel like I'll be good but It's illegal to ride on the sidewalk too??
