Great video. Love that you and your Dad do things like this together. Your making memories with him that you will look back on with joy for the rest of your life. As well as he will also. Take it from a Dad who knows. Btw. Just a little advice. Rewatch your video and count how many times you say, ' So yeah ' or ' and yeah.' It's a bad habit that you may not have noticed. But getting rid of it will help your narration and hopefully keep you mindful of other repetitive verbal crutches we use to fill in between sentences. It's nothing big. But it's noticable enough to those listening to you.

You have some nice trails to ride. ( i wish that i had trails like this here where i live.) The swap over looks excellent. I have built over 22 Motorised Bikes since early 2014. Have kept six. One a 50cc 2stroke is on an old 1981 Humber. Two 4 strokes. The 40 cc OHV is a left hand side mount by the rear axle, the 50cc OHC is in an Aluminium frame with built in fuel tank. A 43cc weadeater ( weadwacker) above the rear wheel on a 20'' folding bike. Also have 4 Recumbents. A home made LWB with under seat steering. A 20'' Rans. A Cruzbike FWD and a homebuilt converted Dahon 20'' folding bike to a 26'' FWD. Greetings to you and your Dad from Durban, South Africa.

I live in North Georgia and there are a lot of really difficult hills. I had to modify my bike to deal with the steep hills. I use a 56T sprocket and I use a header instead of a muffler. I also removed the filter from the carb. The bike performs incredibly well. Of course that's hard on the engine, so I have to replace the motor every so many miles. Love my gas bike!!

I built an electric Mongoose BMX bike. Def learned that it rides much nicer if I install back wheel in the perfect spot and add chain to front after. Once I like the tightness you can mark on the frame where the wheel should sit. Take off nuts and add a semi permanent threadlocker and dont be shy with an actual socket. Does much better than bicycle wrenchs.

there are some chain tensioners that are big "C" shaped brackets where the tensioner slides inside them, might be something to look at putting on your dad's bike, or trying to fabricate one for yourself. It's the straight up and down cut in the tensioner that will always work itself towards the bottom no matter how hard you tighten it. I had one of my old bikes do that.

I recently bought one of these bike kits and a cheaper Walmart bike. Put it all together and road it for a bit before having problems with the carb and and spark plug. Anyways I got it all cleaned up put a helicoil kit in the cylinder head and then road it around 24 miles throughout the rest of the day. Ended up I blew up the piston. I wasn’t sure why this was though. I just want a working one of these for longer trips that does around 35-45 miles per hour. I know I have to warm the engine up and run some gas through it to get it where it needs to be but I’m just so lost as to why I keep having problems. First the threads stripped for the spark plug then the carb clogged up now this. All within 3-4 days of ownership. Anyways could anyone recommend me a good kit? I need something that will again do longer distances and go around 35 if not higher speeds on average. I would also not be opposed to putting this kit on my trek marlin 4. I know how to do it and am fairly mechanically inclined I just don’t want to keep fixing this junky motor it would be cheaper to buy a new one of good quality. Also what spark plugs should I be using because as I’m going for longer distances I don’t want to run too hot and burn the engine up anyways. Also don’t want to spend too much on the engine maybe $300

The company I got Seeutek no longer exists, so I don’t know necessarily what is good or not, but from what I’ve experienced with my friends and whatnot, you honestly get what you pay for. So the more expensive kits are generally better.

I highly recommend Gorilla Gas Bike. The motors are high quality and the kits are reasonably priced. I paid $134 for my kit. Also, they have great customer service. They are easy to get in touch with and an actual person picks up the phone to talk to you. So definitely go with Gorilla Gas Bike.
