When this randomly popped up on KZbin, I was excited to watch because 1)Jon Batiste and this song and 2) it’s at the Boardwalk-I lived in Santa Cruz for 12 years. But ALSO because, in addition to the ocean and hummingbirds, the thing I miss most about living in SC is my dance classes with Geena at Worldanz--I just knew she had to be involved with this, and sure enough, here she is! Bringing moves and spreading joy, as she does. Those classes were so cathartic and joyful for me-no judgement, all community. This video made me feel the same way. Good to see this dance community still thriving and great to see Geena dancing and smiling! Thank you for this ❤️

Love from the Thai jungle. I worked as a ride mechanic there from 1988-'89 during the summer season and during off season I restored and painted the Looff Carousel and the Merry Go Round room and the turntable. This brings back some happy memories for an old man a long way from home. Santa Cruz is one of my favorite home towns. Rock on Surf City!
