I haven't watched much telly since the 90s so I still remembered them as they were. It was a bit shocking to see how old they were and how much they have changed. Some I wouldn't have recognised and a couple have aged well so didn't look much different. I wonder how much I've changed compared to what I see in the mirror.

does anyone else think that Anita Dobson looks like the evil stepmother from Disney's Cinderella now? Ade Edmondson first appeared on TV as part of "the Dangerous Brothers" along with Rik Mayall in the BBC's "Boom Boom Go Out The Lights" in 1980 (2yrs before "The Young Ones") they also appeared on "Friday Night Live" . he was also in "Filthy, Rich and Catflap" and his own comedy show "Teenage Kicks".

I know its a lot to ask, but can we not all agree on a year - I propose 1981 to 1986 - and just stick with it? I'm not deaf to the fact that we would have to employ some massive brain power to figure out time distillation and bottom out scratchy bits like the Berlin wall still being up, but it has to be worth a shot. I want to watch Tomorrows World with a can of Um-bongo and then settle in to an episode of When the Boat Comes in before bed.

As a Star Trek fan, the first television role I remember Joan Collins in was as the doomed charity worker Edith Keeler, who has to die so that the Allies can win WW2, because if she doesn't her continued existence will cause a chain reaction in history, because she leads a pacifist movement that stops the Allies winning the war, and strands Kirk and his landing party on the planet of The Guardian of Forever. I later saw some of her early film roles, including a historical fantasy/horror where she is entombed as an Ancient Egyptian queen, in her late husband's tomb, to stop her taking over his role as pharaoh.

He's been forgiven. I remember seeing Jimmy Nail on a Saturday morning kids programme, Jimmy had taken his son on the show and the wee man proved he was funnier than Jimmy making fun of him. You did two of the three best Doctors, but missed Mr Spoons himself, Sylvester McCoy. 😢 Poor Sylv. Unlike the 70's one of these, I know every actor. This is basically my childhood and early teens. Peter Davison is my top, being as he's my Doctor, with Colin Baker just behind him (most people don't know this, but Colin is a KC (formally QC), he's incredibly intelligent). The reason he wasn't in more episodes of Doctor Who is because he was unceremoniously dropped from the show in a horrible way. He was so upset he refused to do the regeneration scene which ended up being Sylv in a wig and that technicolour dreamcoat! FYI Anita Dobson is shaping up to be a major character in the upcoming series of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa. At the end of the Christmas special she looks straight to camera and says, "What's the matter, never seen a TARDIS before?" How the hell does she know what a TARDIS is?! She's going to be important, so keep an eye on her! Otherwise it's pretty much impossible to choose favourites as they're all so amazing!

Paul Nicolas my Mum used to love watching 'Just Good Friends'. However he was in a charming musical film called Alice' which also starred 'Jack Wild'. Tracey Ullman is just fantastic. Tracey starred in an episode of 'Tales of the Unexpected' and again really popular at the time 'Girls on Top' alongside Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Ruby Wax'. I always watched 'Give us a Clue' which used to have 'Lionel Blair' on all the time also . 'David Jason' well he is just loved and cherished by everybody. Peter Davidson did a brilliant job, stepping into the shoes of the former Doctor Who star. I loved him in 'All Creatures Great and Small'. I also really enjoyed 'At Home with the Braithwaite's' starring Amanda Redmond. Ade Edmondson and The Comedy Strip, brought lots of laughs and entertainment to us over the years. 'Happy Families' was a must watch. Auf Wiedersehen Pet was fantastic. A family watch. Golden Days

Seeing as you featured Noel Edmonds: does anyone know if 'The Curse of Viz' is transferrable?

We watched Stephen Fry as a solicitor in the series Kingdom, he was very good in that too.

A lot of talent featured here, not least Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie who possibly never equalled their roles in Jeeves and Wooster where they brought PG Wodehouse's characters to life. When I was a postie in rural Devon I delivered to Noel Edmonds home near Okehampton, then after their separation his wife's place near Chagford. As a kid I loved Noel Edmonds but the reality I got to know changed my view of him forever.
