I know its a lot to ask, but can we not all agree on a year - I propose 1981 to 1986 - and just stick with it? I'm not deaf to the fact that we would have to employ some massive brain power to figure out time distillation and bottom out scratchy bits like the Berlin wall still being up, but it has to be worth a shot. I want to watch Tomorrows World with a can of Um-bongo and then settle in to an episode of When the Boat Comes in before bed.

As a Star Trek fan, the first television role I remember Joan Collins in was as the doomed charity worker Edith Keeler, who has to die so that the Allies can win WW2, because if she doesn't her continued existence will cause a chain reaction in history, because she leads a pacifist movement that stops the Allies winning the war, and strands Kirk and his landing party on the planet of The Guardian of Forever. I later saw some of her early film roles, including a historical fantasy/horror where she is entombed as an Ancient Egyptian queen, in her late husband's tomb, to stop her taking over his role as pharaoh.

You did two of the three best Doctors, but missed Mr Spoons himself, Sylvester McCoy. 😢 Poor Sylv. Unlike the 70's one of these, I know every actor. This is basically my childhood and early teens. Peter Davison is my top, being as he's my Doctor, with Colin Baker just behind him (most people don't know this, but Colin is a KC (formally QC), he's incredibly intelligent). The reason he wasn't in more episodes of Doctor Who is because he was unceremoniously dropped from the show in a horrible way. He was so upset he refused to do the regeneration scene which ended up being Sylv in a wig and that technicolour dreamcoat! FYI Anita Dobson is shaping up to be a major character in the upcoming series of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa. At the end of the Christmas special she looks straight to camera and says, "What's the matter, never seen a TARDIS before?" How the hell does she know what a TARDIS is?! She's going to be important, so keep an eye on her! Otherwise it's pretty much impossible to choose favourites as they're all so amazing!
