2:44 is stuck in my memories forever. The choreography. The music. Just magic.

The fact that they used the turn signal while running in an underground station is the cherry on top of this cake for me.

Fun facts:Isuzu wanted to make this commercial a perfect one. So they hired the car stunt team which performed for the 007 series.

Just like a Mad Max movie, no matter which one, ALL the stunts are real. No way you could fake any of this in the mid-80s and make it look real

Amazing series of ads put together with a fitting song. I have seen this video a long long time back, but managed to find the original song only recently. I must say this video does more justice to this catchy song that the original video does(in spite of it being full of CGI)! The irony! The artist is Karaja, btw.

Some really good stunt drivning but sadly Rémy Julienne (stunt performer and coordinator) passed away recently

I miss those exuberant car stunt commercials. They made driving seem interesting, unlike those single-shot canned stunts that take a small fortune and months of preparation to do, or those "watch our car look cool" ads we get now. This certainly has more a a couple of canned stunts but they looked more fun than a "super jump" or "car bungie" and cooler than speeding down some empty road looking cool at dust.

It's a shame that Isuzu stopped developing the passenger vehicles, though I still like their commercial vehicles.

✭✭✭✭✭ For those of us who don't know what a 'stig' is: The Stig is a character on the British motoring television show Top Gear. The Stig's primary role is setting lap times for cars tested on the show, as well as instructing celebrity guests for the show's "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segment. The character is a play on the anonymity of racing drivers' full-face helmets, with the running joke that nobody knows who, or indeed what, is inside the Stig's racing suit.--Wikipedia

@Mechknight7312 жыл бұрын
No way! remember that it's a hell of a lot more of a challenge to get a Gemini to do these stunts, therefore makes it much cooler than letting something that was bred for rally (this was Isuzu's answer to the Toyota Corolla) doing it
@Mechknight7312 жыл бұрын
Back in the days when you couldn't "cheat" with CGI. What we know in Australia as the RB Gemini (the one in these clips is the model after it) weren.t the most powerful car out of the factory. It would take some talent to shoot these ads, although I would have loved to see the outtakes

Unfortunately a litigious society killed that kind of thing off. For comparison, look up some of Holden's ads over the years. Holden being the Australian division of GM. They've made some really cool ones over the decades. One of the most recent notable ones was for the VE SS Commodore ute, what America knows as the Pontiac G8 sport truck. With some amazing graphics, it goes through the evolution of what is an Australian institution and invention

Yeah The music must have been changed because this car was made in 1985 and the song was released in 2002.

The effects were. For example, the trench run from the very first Star Wars movie, it was filmed by making a scale model trench, and hanging a camera off a boom truck, driving it along the trench. All the models and night sky of space were overlaid on it
